If you are still looking for that perfect summer cottage rental retreat, have we got some gems for you.
Every day we are listing new properties and it’s been a tough job travelling around cottage country looking at them, testing out the water, trying out the canoes and kayaks and generally making sure they are just right for our guests.
OK – someone has to do it, and our team took the challenge.
We know you want great waterfront, Wifi, things to do when it rains, and of course, something to brag about! So, we’ve searched high and low to find the cottages that have the most amenities and will deliver the memories you want from your vacation.
Here’s a few of our latest finds:
Do you like the idea of island living for a week or two?
Hunter-Greene Pointe on Stoney Lake is that perfect island cottage. Wrap-around water – decks and docks to take in the sun (or shade) at different times of the day, and a comfortable cottage to get together for family meals and evening games. This is what summer is all about.
Still on Stoney Lake, Grundy’s Bay Cottage delivers what you need to enjoy the vacation even when the weather doesn’t play nice.
When the thunder clouds roll in and you beat a hasty retreat indoors, what better than to have a swimming pool and Tiki bar where all the family can hang out. It’s a great cottage for two families to split the cost and each have their own space as each floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. And when the sun is out – the location on the bay is perfect for wading, swimming, and kayaking. We just love this one.
Many dream of that gorgeous sandy beach just steps from the cottage and we have that as well. Simcoe Beach Paradise is a beautiful spot and it’s less than an hour from the GTA.
With four bedrooms in the main cottage and an adorable 2-bed boathouse Bunkie, this is the perfect spot to get away with the whole family. The sandy beach and shallow water is perfect fo the kids and for those looking to play with a Frisbee of badminton, there’s some good lawned space for that as well.
Still on Lake Simcoe, Cook’s Bay Cottage is what we call small, but perfectly packaged. There’s a large lawned area for lots of outdoor play, and for fisherfolk in the group the bay is renowned for perch fishing. It’s also close enough to the city that you could rent the space for a week with the family and still get to the office (if you absolutely have to!)
