About This Cottage

One of the pleasures we have here at CottageLINK Rental Management is seeing cottages that have been in families for years, in some cases decades. Working with owners to know their cottage intimately results in rental experiences that benefit from this pride of ownership. When were introduced to Simcoe Beach Lookout Cottage, we immediately knew it was a special place. Now the next generation of Simcoe Beach Lookout owners are pleased to be able to share it with your family!

Simcoe Beach Lookout is one large 4-bedroom 2-level cottage, which could easily serve as a home. An adorable little 2-bedroom boathouse bunkie that could serve as a getaway all on its own is included with high season summer rentals, raising the overall occupancy to 12. The boathouse is optional and can be added for a fee for bookings Victoria Weekend to high season and after Labour Day to Thanksgiving weekend. Put them together with a fabulous waterfront and you're set for a special vacation with your group. Please note that the bunkie is unheated, and closed down between Thanksgiving and Victoria Day.

Inside the main cottage, you'll find a welcoming living room, open to the dining area and kitchen to provide large communal space. Added to this is one of the main features - a large screened in sunroom overlooking a picturesque lake vista. The master bedroom and en suite are tucked away on this floor, as is another bedroom. The side entrance comes through the laundry area - which will come in very handy if you need to freshen things up part way through your stay.

The waterfront is key to the enjoyment of many a cottage stay, and the lakefront at Simcoe Beach Lookout is front and centre. Just a few steps down from the cottage and running the full width of the property, a sandy beach is a wonderful place to catch some rays, dip your toes in the water, embark on a little exploration in the canoe (careful, there are waves on Lake Simcoe) or just splash about in the water. Maybe you'd just prefer to sip a nice cold drink while watching the kids frolic - entirely your choice! Due to possible overnight wave action boats must be removed from the dock each night to avoid loss or damages.

We think you'll spend most of your time enjoying the waterfront, but if you want an impromptu game of football or badminton, there is a nice flat lawn area on the other side of the cottage well suited to that purpose.

If you feel like a little exploring, the towns of Barrie and Orillia are both easy drives, each offering a full range of services and attractions. A little to the west lies historic Midland Pentanguishene. Coming up in the Winter? Hardwood Ski & Bike, Horseshoe Valley and Mount St. Louis Moonstone are well within your reach here.

We know the features of Simcoe Beach Lookout stand on their own, but we just thought we'd also mention the fact that it's just a little over an hour to the GTA, so if you find yourself in demand in the city but want to make sure you can still rejoin the group later in the day, this makes a great spot. This cottage will "make do" and much, much more.

July 2019
We had a wonderful  two week stay at Simcoe Beach Lookout in July 2019.  Everything we could possibly need was available in the cottage,  especially the kitchen.  It is very well equipped with utensils, dishes, pots and pans for large or small groups.  We were a group of 10, with children ranging from 4 years to 13 years.  The shed in the garden has lots of lovely things for having fun in the lake and on the beach.  We had the use of the  bunkie along with the house which was a great place for the young ones to chill out in.  The bunkie is also very well equipped.

Such a great location and fantastic cottage to stay with family or friends. So much space and all the things you would need for a getaway. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and utilities, instructions on home were well written and clear. Views were gorgeous. Can't wait to come back here in the summer.
