One of the biggest lessons during the COVID-19 pandemic was the importance of being proactive rather than reactive. That’s why CLRM already has detailed emergency protocols in place should any future government-mandated restrictions/public health orders occur again.
What happens if government lockdowns return?
In the unlikely event that government-mandated lockdowns/emergency health orders prohibit cottage rentals:
- Guests would receive a full refund, excluding the booking fee
- Booking fees (typically ranging from $90–$135) would remain fully transferable toward a future reservation within 12 months once restrictions are lifted
- Our team will work directly with guests and property owners to manage cancellations, rescheduling, and communication quickly and professionally
Our goal has always been to protect both our guests and our cottage owners while ensuring all government regulations and public health recommendations are followed responsibly.

Enhanced Cleaning Protocols Are Ready to Be Reintroduced
During the COVID-19 pandemic, CLRM implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfecting standards across all managed properties. These procedures included:
