After a long day of exploring Parry Sound, you will want to settle down for a delicious lunch or delectable dinner. Once you are done touring Massasauga Provincial Park, swimming at Waubuno Beach, photographing the beautiful Tower Hill Heritage Garden, or taking an Eco Tour on the Island Queen, stop by one of these well-loved Parry Sound restaurants to refuel your body and get back to exploring.
Maurizio’s Pizzeria
Dine-in or bring some pizza back to your rental – Maurizio’s Pizzeria is well worth the visit. Since it was founded in 2013, Maurizio’s Pizzeria has been changing the way people eat with their age-old craft of making wood-fired pizza and pairing unique flavors from around the world. Of course, you will get an authentic taste of Italy there.
12-inch meat, vegetarian, vegan, and inferno pizzas are on the menu. A little word of warning: You must sign a waiver at the pizzeria before buying one of the very spicy inferno pizzas, and you will have to verify your age in person.
For those who need to go gluten-free, a cauliflower crust can be made upon request.
If you are not feeling up for pizza, you can order a delicious wood-fired calzone or sandwich. Appetizers range from the Focaccia Romana to yummy garlic bread – all of which are also wood-fired. Pair it up with one of the cold beverages, including an Italian-style soda.
Don Cherry’s Sports Grill – Parry Sound, Ontario
Located in the heart of Parry Sound, Don Cherry’s Sports Grill is a popular spot for both locals and visitors alike. The restaurant is known for its sports-themed ambiance, paying homage to the iconic Canadian hockey commentator, Don Cherry. Don Cherry’s Sports Grill is particularly busy on game nights, with lots of people enjoying a drink and some food as they cheer on the home team!
Don Cherry’s Sports Grill is a hallmark in Parry Sound and is known for its great atmosphere and quality food. Their menu promises something for everyone, with a focus on pub-style food like their famous wings, burgers, nachos and pasta as well as lots of great appetizers (the spinach dip is always a great one to share!).
The restaurant is situated at 6 Bowes St, Parry Sound, Ontario. Their regular hours are 11am – 9pm although they close slightly earlier on Sunday’s at 8pm.

Di Salvio’s Bella Cucina
You might bring some fantastic leftovers back to your Ontario cottage rental when you eat at Di Salvio’s Bella Cucina. This fine Italian restaurant is located in downtown Parry Sound and offers authentic Italian cuisine presented in a modern style. Family-style dining is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. In comparison, the Bella Cucina dining room opens at 4 p.m. Reservations for the latter are highly recommended since seating is limited.
On the Bella Cucina menu are a series of starters that include a Fritto Misto, Bruschetta, and Pan Seared Scallops. Move on to a vast selection of pasta (such as Chicken Tetrazzini and Mushroom Risotto Milanese), the main course consisting of Chicken Marsala or Prime Rib, and a final cherry on top with the decadent dessert menu featuring Pear Crostata and Panna Cotta.
Trappers Choice Restaurant
For the last 40 years, Trappers Choice Restaurant has been a family-friendly restaurant serving take-out, patio, and indoor dining to customers looking for a laid-back atmosphere.
After a long day of exploring Parry Sound and enjoying everything it offers, you can relax on the patio during the summer or drive your snowmobile in for dine-in or take-out. They open every day at 8 a.m. to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Breakfast includes a Mediterranean omelet, the Trapper’s Breakfast Sandwich, a bagel with cream cheese, and French toast or pancakes for the kids. Starters range from pickerel bites served with a spicy remoulade sauce to escargot sauteed in garlic butter. Made fresh daily with meat from the local butcher, you can order sandwiches and burgers cooked the way you want. The Traditional Clubhouse, the Steak Sandwich, and the Black and Blue Burger are served with blue cheese and Cajun spices. Lighter meals are all done with the vegetable of the day and your choice of rice or potatoes.
The list of main courses includes Mediterranean pasta, Chicken Marsala, and Blackened Pork Chop. The Beef and Reef portion of the menu includes Grilled Wild Salmon served with lemon butter dill sauce and an 8-ounce bacon-wrapped Filet Mignon. Wash your meal down with iced tea, wine, beer, ale, or shots directly from the bar. Kid’s meals are served with milk, juice, or a soft drink.
Log Cabin Fine Dining
After a long day of cycling around Parry Sound, get gussied up and settle in for a meal at Log Cabin Fine Dining. Hailed as one of the best restaurants in Parry Sound, Log Cabin Fine Dining offers dine-in Wednesday through Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Start your meal off with some Soup du Jour or Beef Carpaccio, or kick things off with one of the salads or light entrees. Then move on to one of the larger plates. On the “From the Butcher” menu, you can choose from a New York Striploin, Filet Mignon, or Log Cabin Prime Rib. Or, you can select a “From the Pan” meal if you prefer pasta or a Braised Lamb Shank. Seafood options include the Catch of the Day (which will be listed at the market price), Surf & Turf, or a Seafood Risotto.
You can also go all-veggie with something “From the Garden.” Choose between a house-made Vegetarian Gnocchi with red peppers and cherry tomatoes or a Vegan Moroccan Stew made from a variety of veggies and served on a potato hash bed.
Blake’s Memories
Head out from your Muskoka cottage rental and head on over to Blake’s Memories of Muskoka. Blake’s serves a variety of food fit for the entire family. The breakfast menu includes a Two Egg Breakfast, Blake’s Big Breakfast, a Western Sandwich with white or whole wheat Texas toast, pancakes, omelets, and a B.L.T. You can even get two eggs served on lightly breaded crispy crab cakes if you order the Crabby Benny.
If you come for lunch or dinner, you can start with one of the appetizers: garlic bread, pickle spears, onion chips, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, cheese balls, mushroom caps, spinach dip, sweet potato fries, or more. You can order a large or small pizza or select from one of the many dinner and sandwich options.
Tailwinds Georgian Bay
When you need to fuel up and don’t want to cook anything at your pet-friendly cottage rental in Ontario, stop by Tailwinds Georgian Bay. They are open every day from noon until 9 p.m. As part of Georgian Bay Airways, you will notice a lot of aircraft-related décor in this eatery, which offers a gorgeous view of the bay.
Sit down and enjoy a house-made burger made from a ground chuck and ground brisket or share some duck wings with your significant other. Sandwich options include the Tailwinds Western Sandwich and a Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Entrees include Fish & Chips and Cedar Plank Salmon.
There are some kids’ options here, and you can pair your meal with a drink of your choice, ranging from a fountain drink to cranberry juice. Adults can enjoy some local brews courtesy of Trestle Brewing Company.
Trestle Brewing Company
Trestle Brewing is a perfect spot for some food or drink. It is a small, independent, craft brewery on the waterfront in downtown Parry Sound. With outdoor seating, it provides incredible views of the Trestle Bridge and Georgian Bay and unforgettable sunsets. There is typically live music or some sort of live entertainment in the summer. We’d highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich and Reuben sandwich.
