Who doesn’t love a beverage created to celebrate a particular season or time of year, especially when they’re on vacation? This Apple Pie Punch is an easy-to-make yummy fall cottage mocktail (or cocktail) that won’t break the bank and is perfect to make ahead or during a visit to an Ontario cottage rental. My favourite part is that you create the mocktail version as a base and can choose whether or not you want to kick it up with some “boo”-zey fun!
To celebrate the fall, I decided to dive into the all-encompassing world that is, Googling Mocktail (or Cocktail) Recipes.
I found many fun things to try, so my husband and I combined a few, cut some ingredients and made what we consider to be one of the most seasonally accurate fall drinks around. Even better, your house or Ontario cottage rental will smell AMAZING as it simmers!
To start, you’ll need:
3L apple cider
3L apple juice
4-6 cinnamon sticks
4-6 apples cut into pieces
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
Combine all the ingredients and let simmer in the Crock-Pot for 6 hours, or so.
Transfer to a jug and let cool in the fridge for a few hours.
Slide an apple slice around the brim of the glasses and rim with separate sugar/brown sugar/ground cinnamon mixture.
Garnish with an apple wedge & cinnamon stick.
Pour into glasses.
Add a shot (or two 
See, isn’t that delicious! Now, go outside and take in the breathtaking colours of fall, while sipping your new favourite beverage and reading a good book on the dock.
