The perfect cottage week
What a hot summer it’s been and we felt so lucky!
There was a concern leading up to our vacation that wildfires throughout Ontario (especially towards the South end) would put a damper on summer-fun, but even with a fire ban in place, it was an absolutely PERFECT cottage week away with family & friends.
The sleeping was a bit warm, but with at least one ceiling fan in each bedroom, air movement was plentiful which helped greatly.
We were in the lake shortly after waking up and stayed in until almost bedtime everyday.
While the water is a bit weedy/silty, as experienced cottagers, we weren’t phased (and neither were our kids).
A favourite highlight was the kids jumping in hand-in-hand off the dock.
We were lucky enough to have a small fishing boat available for us to borrow for the week, my son, out with his two uncles, caught a 38″ pike! A definite highlight!
We enjoyed fresh fish tacos another evening, from that morning’s catch!
The small area to the right of the dock was great for our 2 year old to muck around while we enjoyed a cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine before dinner.
Our dog loved her daily walks along the cottage road and was overly excited to meet some local residents’ pooches on our adventures.
The kitchen is very well stocked and not missing a thing!
We loved our time at the cottage and hope to come back again soon.
Thank you so much for the wonderful memories!
