Falcon’s Nest on Beaver Lake – Gorgeous Property!

Very nice and large cottage on a beautiful property with direct access to several lakes and some good fishing. Unfortunately we were there a bit early for water to have warmed up but the dock is well out in the water for swimming and boating. Great kids play area and lots of toys available for wee ones. The outdoor play structure is a bit close to edge of a hill leading to water so kids do need to be watched. Surrounding area is ideal cottage country – secluded on a long and winding road around lakes – but still reasonably close to grocery and convenience stores within 10-30 minutes by driving. Great walking along sideroads. We did have a couple issues upon arrival but CLRM was quick to follow to resolve. One suggestion – the Smart TV here is well, not so smart IMHO (or maybe that was me?). Anyway, would highly recommend you bring an Apple Firestick or Roku or similar if you want reliable and quick access to streaming services. Kitchen is very well stocked with all the tools you’ll need as is the laundry. BBQ was a challenge but nice firepit in table that was very useful for smores. One other nice amenity here is there is a Generac Generator which goes on almost immediately when power goes out, which did during a thunderstorm. Overall I’d rate the location a 10/10 and the property itself and readiness for visitors about 8/10. Good value for a property this size. Easily sleeps 10.
