Quaint little cabin experience. The property has 2 cabins and the owners house, depending on which cabin you get may be a little more private or little less (depending on if you’re in the one closer to owner’s house). Either way the owner’s kept to themselves and respected our privacy. The cabin is nice and has all you need in terms of amenities, with good internet speeds (enough to stream in HD). They kept your pet in mind as well with water/food bowls in place and poop bags/scooper if needed. Very peaceful inside and outside the cabin with access to lake via your own dock (there was no one in the other cabin so was a little bit more peaceful than it may be otherwise). Overall great experience and would come again!

Had such a wonderful stay at this cottage with a childhood friend. The location is amazing, the dock sits right inside a private bay on the Talbot River and is only 1 min drive from a local market. The cottage itself is also very clean, with modern appliances and a full kitchen. I will totally be back and have already told all my friends and family that it is a must stay! Thank you so much for such a great vacation CLRM team.

his cottage is hidden inside a cove which which kept our privacy and hardly any boats coming through. Perfect dock fishing!! Amazing hosts that were very accommodating.

My husband and I have stayed at a lot of places over the years but this one was BY FAR the best of them. The cottage itself had everything you could want or need so that all you have to bring are your clothes, food and yourself. VERY clean, well maintained and still had that “new” feel about it, the interior even still had the lovely woody fragrance. The AC worked fabulously, the WIFI, despite the owner warning us may be slow, was excellent for what we needed. All the furniture was comfortable and well maintained as well. The dock was great for fishing, we didn’t even have to unpack our camp chairs since there was comfortable seating and tables provided, allowing us to while away hours on the water without any issues. We caught a lot of sunfish and rock bass, but also decent sized small mouth bass. The entire experience was wonderfully peaceful. As others have said boat traffic was minimal and the boats that did come through did so slowly so they weren’t a disturbance at all. All in all we will be looking to rent this cottage every year, there’s really no need to look anywhere else.

Cottage is very cute and cozy and seems quite new. Good access to the water and we were thankful for the air conditioning. Had a wonderful relaxing getaway here. Only complaint may be the beds were a bit too firm, bring a foam topper if that bothers you. Linens were crisp and white and a luxurious perk for a cottage. Thank you Cottage link for being very helpful with lots of information from start to finish.

Great location and cabin. The cabin was extremely clean, all amenities provided. The water is clean and clear. Boat traffic was minimal as our stay was off season. Minor recommendations, I would suggest another lounge chair. The cabin sleeps four adults, however, the couch does not accomodate three adults comfortably, another chair would be nice. As well, the dining table does not really sit four people, a little small. The Wifi for TV purposes to be stronger, difficult. The property is lovely, the grounds are pretty and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this cabin.

The cottage and surrounding area was clean as can be. We had a relaxing and FUN time. Beds and furniture were comfortable, TV was a plus to have. Kitchen and bathroom were amazing. I would recommend this cottage and rent it again but does seem to he available this coming summer. Nice job owners!!

The cottage owners have thought of everything – right down to providing dog dishes, poop bags, and treats! This is the perfect cottage for a one or 2 couple (or small family) getaway, or combined with Talbot – Pineview for a larger group. It’s just down the road (or a paddle) from a swing bridge in the Trent Severn Waterway (Bolsover Bridge 43), so you can watch the bridge in operation if you’re lucky enough to be there at the right time (we weren’t, sadly). The waterfront dock is in good condition, fairly shady, and spacious enough for 4 or more guests to sit comfortably waterside. The surrounding lawns give lots of space for outdoor games, or just for sitting if you wish to have a sunnier experience on cooler days. Even the fire pit is well-equipped, with hot dog and marshmallow roasters provided. Although the weather wasn’t very warm, and it was a bit rainy off and on, I still managed to get my floatie in the water to enjoy some water time, and took the kayak out for a trip around the large island in front of the cottage. The island slows down boat traffic too, so there’s no need to worry about speedboats in front of the cottage. If you’re into fishing, it seems this must be a good spot, as I spotted several fishing boats out in front of the cottage in the mornings, and people were fishing in the park by the swing bridge as well. It was a great weekend, and I highly recommend this cottage!
