Whispering Pines in the 1000 Islands is a beautifully decorated, recently renovated island retreat designed for families and groups seeking an unforgettable getaway on the St. Lawrence, in the beautiful Thousand Islands. With four comfortable bedrooms and sleeping space for up to eight guests, the cottage blends modern comfort with classic cottage warmth. Inside, you’ll find a bright and inviting open-concept living area complete with a cozy woodstove—perfect for cool evenings after a day outdoors. The fully equipped kitchen makes mealtimes easy and enjoyable, while unlimited Starlink internet ensures you stay connected, even on island time.
Step outside and immerse yourself in the peaceful island atmosphere. Towering pines surround the property, offering a sense of privacy and serenity whether you're sipping morning coffee on the deck or gathering around the fire pit at night. The large dock is the centerpiece of the outdoor experience, stretching into the sparkling waters of the St. Lawrence River. It comfortably accommodates boats up to 35 feet long, making it ideal for visitors arriving by water or planning to explore the region’s scenic channels and islands.
Adventure awaits just steps from your door, with two kayaks and two paddleboards available for you to glide through the calm coves and winding waterways. The quiet shoreline and clear water are perfect for swimming, paddling, sunbathing, or simply unwinding while watching boats pass in the distance. For anglers, the Thousand Islands region is known for excellent fishing, with opportunities to catch bass, pike, and more.

- This cottage is on an island and requires the use of a boat or the available water taxi service to access it
- The island address is: 611 Big Stave Island
- Pets are not permitted
- Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
- Linens are provided – please bring your own outdoor towels
- Garbage and recycling disposal is required prior to departure
- Post departure cleaning is arranged immediately following your check out time. Please ensure the short pre-departure cleaning checklist is completed and you have fully checked out of the cottage by your departure time to avoid any additional cleaning fees.
- The cottage TV will allow you to sign into any of the streaming services you personally subscribe to. Please note, these services will require your personal login information and are not provided.

Accessibility
- Cottage: Several stairs, but there's a railing to hold onto, Cottage would not be suitable/easy for anyone with mobility challenges to access, At least one bathroom with walk in shower.

Waterfront
The cottage offers more than 530 feet of waterfront with several easy wade-in access points. The water deepens to about 6 feet at the end of the dock and is clean, with a mix of small rocks, larger rolling rocks, and some silt. It’s excellent for swimming, and the area is well known for great fishing. Best of all, there are few to no weeds.Sun Exposure
