Nestled on the serene shores of Canal Lake in Bolsover, Ontario, Three Paddles cottage beckons you to unwind in its newly renovated, four-season splendor. Easily accessible from Durham Region, Clarington, and the East end of Toronto, this charming retreat invites you to step into a world of relaxation and natural beauty.
As you cross the threshold, you're welcomed by an inviting foyer, its warm bench setting the tone for your stay. The main floor unfolds before you, revealing a panorama of windows that frame the spacious deck, lush grassy lawn, and a gleaming new dock, all basking in the stunning eastern exposure. Here, the gentle light of the rising sun dances across the waters of Canal Lake, creating a tranquil haven for your getaway. Off the entrance, a three-piece bathroom and a convenient stacked washer/dryer add to the cottage's thoughtful amenities.
Venturing further, the dining room unfolds like a scene from a cherished family story. A gorgeous live-edge table, with seating for eight, stands ready for meals shared with loved ones. Above, the makings of a canoe hover, a tribute to the cottage's heritage and the love of the previous owner, who crafted canoes with passion. This unfinished canoe, a symbol of his enduring legacy, inspired the name Three Paddles, honoring his dream of building a canoe for each of his children.
The dining room flows seamlessly into the living area, where comfort meets style. Here, a grand stone fireplace and a TV create a cozy focal point. A few steps lead you to the brand-new kitchen, a chef's dream with custom white quartz countertops and blue and gray accents. Down the hallway, three well-appointed bedrooms await. The first features double bunk beds, perfect for children or a small family. Two unique primary bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with a King bed, each offer sliding doors to the deck, providing private escapes and stunning views.
Outside, the magic of Three Paddles continues. The expansive multi-level deck features a gazebo with a comfortable conversation set, an outdoor dining area with a large table and umbrella, and a BBQ perfect for lakeside grilling. The level lawn offers ample space for games, while a cozy firepit with Adirondack chairs invites evening gatherings under the stars. Down by the water, the dock extends a warm welcome, complete with steps for easy lake access, making it the perfect spot to enjoy Canal Lake's tranquil beauty.
At Three Paddles, every detail is crafted to ensure a memorable stay, blending comfort, style, and the timeless charm of a lakeside cottage.
