Only an hour and a half from the Durham Region, this stunning new build captures all the nostalgia of Belmont Lake with the comfort and luxury of contemporary design. The spacious kitchen offers ample storage for your groceries and essentials, while the open-concept living and dining area draws your eyes to the sparkling lake beyond. Slide open the patio doors and step out onto the gorgeous lakeside deck — the perfect place to sip your morning coffee or watch the sun set in a golden blaze over the water.
Inside, Sunset Bay offers everything you need for a relaxing and convenient stay. With three well-appointed bedrooms, including two queen rooms overlooking the lake, there’s space for the whole family to unwind. Two washrooms (a rare find in cottages of this size), a full laundry area, and a dedicated storage room add to the ease of your getaway. - Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
- Linens are provided – please bring your own outdoor towels
- Post departure cleaning is arranged immediately following your check out time. Please ensure the short pre-departure cleaning checklist is completed and you have fully checked out of the cottage by your departure time to avoid any additional cleaning fees.
- The cottage has a smart TV that will allow you to sign into any of the streaming services you personally subscribe to. Please note, these services will require your personal login information and are not provided.
- Please bring your own lifejackets & watershoes to ensure a proper fit

Waterfront
This cottage boasts 150 feet of private waterfront with direct access to the lake via a dock. The water is approximately 3 feet deep off the end of the dock, making it suitable for wading and swimming. The lake bottom is mostly rocky with some natural weed growth, but overall provides good conditions for swimming and water activities.Sun Exposure

The cottage dock is able to accommodate boats, but please note the shallow waterfront (3’ deep off the dock).Close-By Attractions
- Upper Cordova Falls. The falls at Upper Cordova Falls are the largest of the 3 falls, and there's a good view from atop the small concrete dam. The bedrock is a jet black, giving the rocky banks a unique appearance. (10 mins)
- George St. Park & Splash Pad, Havelock. This park is the largest playground facility in the Township, with picnic tables, a splash pad, swings and a climbing structure, for people of all mobility levels.(15 mins)
- Callaghan’s Rapids Conservation Area. Callaghan’s Rapids features two waterfalls, spanning across the entire width of the Crowe River. When river flows are low enough, you can walk out and explore the river bed. (15 mins)
- Horsin’ Around Riding Ranch. Trail rides, pony rides, and kids camps are available at the ranch. (15 mins)
