Welcome to Sprucehaven Lodge, your private retreat on the tranquil shores of Rainy Lake, near Sprucedale, Ontario. Just a short drive from Magnetawan, Burk's Falls, and the vibrant town of Huntsville, this peaceful property offers the perfect balance between secluded relaxation and easy access to local attractions. With its main cottage and two sleeping cabins, Sprucehaven Lodge is the ideal destination for families and groups of friends looking to escape to nature and enjoying a traditional cottage experience with some perks. The main cottage features two cozy bedrooms (one with a chair that folds out into a cot), an inviting eat-in kitchen, and a spacious living room complete with a wood stove and a large country dining table perfect for sharing meals and stories. A loft area overlooks the living room, offering additional sleeping space, while the adjacent sleeping cabins provide unique lodging options for guests.
The first sleeping cabin (the Bunkie) has sleeping accommodations for 4-5 people — ideal for teens who want their own space to "camp out" and enjoy a bit of independence. The second, more rustic cabin is self-contained, offering two bedrooms, and a 2-piece bathroom (the kitchenette in the guest cabin isn’t operational). Its cozy living room opens to stunning views of the beach area and waterfront, making it a perfect retreat for those in your group who crave a quiet escape.
The outdoor space at Sprucehaven Lodge is equally enchanting. The covered deck on the lakeside of the main cottage is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails, while the fire pit between the deck and the water’s edge invites you to enjoy cozy nights beneath the stars. The beach volleyball court in the main yard adds an extra element of fun for guests who love a bit of friendly competition. Kids will adore the shallow, sandy walk-in at the beach, which makes for safe and enjoyable swimming. Plus, there’s a collection of watercraft available, giving you the opportunity to explore the beauty of Rainy Lake from the water.
For those looking to explore beyond the property, Sprucehaven Lodge is ideally located near some unique local attractions. Just 15 minutes away, you'll find Midlothian Sculpture Park, also known as Screaming Heads, where giant, mystical sculptures rise from the landscape in an otherworldly display. Don’t miss a visit to the Cornball store, your stop for ice cream and delicious baked goods. While the larger centers of Burk’s Falls and Huntsville offer plenty in the way of entertainment and dining, the small town of Sprucedale, less than 10 minutes away, has a convenience store for the basics and wine/beer. Whether you're looking for outdoor adventures or quiet moments by the water, Sprucehaven Lodge is your perfect getaway.

Things you need to know:

- Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
- Trampoline shown in one picture is no longer available
- Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own outdoor towels
- Rentals include a cleaning service; however, the cottage must be left in a tidy condition
- Garbage and recycling disposal required upon departure
- The cottage TV will allow you to sign into any of the streaming services you personally subscribe to such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, AppleTV, Disney+, etc. Please note, these services will require your personal login information and are not provided
Waterfront
The cottage has a small sandy beach with a sandy bottom that gets softer as you go out. It’s mostly clear of weeds in the swimming area. Water is approximately 2-3’ deep off the dock. Eastern exposure with sunrise views.Close-By Attractions
