Sandy Shores on Greens is a charming traditional cottage nestled on the peaceful shores of Greens Lake in the Trent Lakes region. Designed with families in mind, this comfortable waterfront retreat offers all the ingredients for a classic Ontario cottage vacation. Easily accessible from May through October, the cottage is just minutes off the main road down a quiet cottage lane. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed by a large, level front lawn and spacious driveway—perfect for a friendly game of horseshoes, letting the kids play, or simply enjoying a sunny morning before heading down to the water.
Inside, the cottage is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully laid out for easy family living. The front foyer opens directly into the kitchen, making unloading groceries and vacation supplies a breeze. The kitchen flows into a cozy dining area overlooking the sunken living room, where large windows frame beautiful views of Greens Lake from two sides. Gather around the wood-burning stove with a good book, relax on the comfortable sofa after a day outdoors, or enjoy quality time together in this inviting living space. Down the hall, you'll find three comfortable bedrooms, including a primary bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a third bedroom with a set of single bunk beds, along with a four-piece bathroom.
Outdoor living is what cottage life is all about, and Sandy Shores on Greens delivers. The large semi-wraparound deck features a picnic table, barbecue, and Adirondack chairs—the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening meals overlooking the property. Step onto the expansive grassy lawn for a game of bocce or croquet before making your way down to the fire pit for stories under the stars. At the waterfront, little ones will love the small sandy beach, ideal for splashing and building sandcastles, while the spacious dock offers plenty of room for swimming, relaxing in the shade beneath the umbrella, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings of Greens Lake.
Sandy Shores on Greens captures the nostalgic spirit of traditional Ontario cottaging. It's a place where days are spent swimming, exploring the shoreline, roasting marshmallows around the fire, and reconnecting with family—including the family dog. Things you need to know:
- This cottage is in the Municipality of Trent Lakes; Licence STRA-2026-110. The Municipal STR Licence restricts the cottage to maximum 6 people at any given time during your stay.
- A maximum of 2 dogs are welcome (no cats or other pets)
- Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
- Watercraft are available seasonally when conditions allow (typically Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, depending on water levels, safety, and weather); refunds will not be provided if conditions prevent use.
- Linens are provided – please bring your own outdoor towels
- The TV is for DVD watching only - there is no channel reception and it’s not suitable for streaming purposes
- Garbage and recycling disposal is required
- While there is no limit on download activity for this cottage, smooth streaming and/or video-conferencing may not be reliably depended upon
- Post departure cleaning is arranged immediately following your check out time. Please ensure the short pre-departure cleaning checklist is completed and you have fully checked out of the cottage by your departure time to avoid any additional cleaning fees.

Waterfront
Enjoy a shallow, sandy beach entry with approximately 5 feet of water off the dock. The swimming area is mostly weed-free and ideal for families. With western exposure, you'll also enjoy beautiful sunset views over the lake.Boating
The dock can accommodate boats up to 16’ long. There is a free boat launch nearby, and Catchacoma Marina is a short drive away.Close-By Attractions
