Bright, clean, and large cottage and property – truly a hidden gem. Pics and description don’t do it justice! So many more cool features than listed, such as saucer swing, kids’ kayaks, kids’ ninja course and sand box, large lawn for outdoor games, floating water mat, wrap-around deck, and long shady driveway for walks to spot chipmunks and birds. Cozy interior, big bright rooms, very clean and well-maintained property. There is even an acoustic guitar to play in the living room! Kitchen has everything you need and more. Nice big fridge and freezer. Huge kitchen table is great for meals and playing board games on rainy days. Water around the dock and in the swimming area is clear and warm with shallow, gradual entry (clay bottom). Fish from the dock for small sunfish and rock bass or use the canoe/kayaks to tour around two small mini-islands (very close by) to see sunbathing turtles and loons. Quiet, beautiful property – would absolutely recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!

If you’ve ever dreamed of a family friendly cottage that has it all, this is your dream come true! Our multigenerational family is rather experienced in renting cottages in Eastern Ontario, and after enjoying a 5-day visit here in Aug, we’re happy to say that everything was spectacular! The cottage itself is spacious, clean, and so well stocked with kitchenware and utensils, games, streaming services, A/C, 4-piece bath, etc. The beds are super comfy and there are plenty of blankets available. The sunroom is a great indoor spot to hang out while kids go to bed early or while adults sleep in. The enormous deck has plenty of room for playtime, mealtime, and relax time. The property is very well maintained and there’s a huge, flat area leading to the lake. Kids will find so much to do with a saucer swing, sand pit, ninja line, play cottage, etc. The extra large fire pit is perfect for lots of marshmallow toasters. The water itself is nice and shallow with a sandy/rocky bottom, and kids of all ages will love the floating water mat. Don’t worry about being short on water sport equipment – it’s covered! Multiple kayaks, SUPs, a great canoe, and a rowboat are all yours to use! A quick trip in the rowboat will lead to some great fishing spots. While there are neighbours, they are a good distance away. Bonus: a cute family of ducks swam by to say hi every day. We highly recommend this place!!

This was the first time that we have rented a cottage in the North Frontenac area. We were thrilled with the quality of the lakes in the area and a feeling like were back in the cottage country that we used to love in the 60s and 70s before so many of the lakes closer to Toronto became overwhelmed with huge multi-million dollar homes. Sand lake is beautiful with cottages only on one side. Filled with loons. It is a quiet lake with fabulous swimming waters. The sand lake oasis is an old school cottage but with all kinds of interior up-dates. Streaming TV, great wifi, lots of kayaks, a canoe, a row boat. Isolated by trees from neighbours. One of the best places we have stayed in 30+ years of cottage rental.

Amazing cottage on a beautiful sandy lake ! Cottage is well equipped for adults and kids alike, lots of fun activities for the lake are provided, also lot of outside fun for kids right on the property. The interior was very clean and had everything to make us feel right at home. Lake is sandy/shallow on the shore for kids to play ! Amazing experience for the whole family !
