Welcome to Sally’s on Sydenham, a cozy, traditional lakeside retreat nestled along the shores of Sydenham Lake. Just minutes north of Kingston and a short hop off the 401, this charming cottage makes for an easy getaway whether you're traveling from Toronto, Ottawa, or anywhere in between. As you roll down the tree-lined drive and catch your first glimpse of the lake glinting through the trees, you’ll know you’ve arrived somewhere special—somewhere that feels like summer’s past.
The cottage itself is a sweet, no-frills two-bedroom, one-bathroom getaway, complete with an extra Bunkie perfect for grandparents or another couple looking for a bit of quiet space. It’s ideal for families, with room to comfortably sleep four adults and two children. The main cottage is well-equipped with a full-size stove, oven, microwave, fridge, TV, and comfy indoor seating, while the bathroom features a four-piece setup including a tub—perfect for little ones after a day in the sun.
Outside, the grassy (though slightly sloped) lawn is made for lawn games—bocce ball, cornhole, or simply tossing a frisbee while the barbecue sizzles nearby. The dock stretches out into Sydenham Lake, offering a great spot for a morning swim or casting a line in the afternoon sun. While a few weeds might make an appearance, a pair of water shoes is all you need to enjoy the lake comfortably.
Spend your days soaking up the sun on the deck, lounging in Adirondack chairs with a book, or gathered around the picnic table for a lakeside meal. Sally’s on Sydenham may not come with high-tech bells and whistles, but it offers something far more valuable—unplugged family time, fresh air, and the charm of a simple lakeside summer.
