Overview ↑↓
Just a little more than a half hour north of Kingston, the chain of Dog and Cranberry Lakes beckon cottagers all year long. A lengthy array of lakes and islands make these lakes a paradise for paddlers. Convenient to the city but no-doubt situated in cottage country! A leisurely drive up Highway 15, a speed-limited but scenic crossing of the historic Brass Point Swing Bridge on Burnt Hills Road (Did you stop for fries at the Smoking Boys Chip Truck? We won't tell) and you'll know you're almost there.
You'll arrive to a nicely landscaped and very private cottage, complete with gardens and a screened gazebo the will let you enjoy breezy, bug-free lake views. If you'd like something a little sunnier, the deck extends along the full lake side of the cottage, giving you panoramic views up and down the lake. The requisite dock gives you a springboard to water activity. You'll want to explore the lake in the kayak - numerous islands and bays beckon you. Of course you may just want to sit on the dock and soak up some sun - it IS YOUR vacation, after all.
You'll find that the inside of Pine Point will give you the feeling of being at the cottage. The cottage sleeps up to 10 people (4 of these being younger people who want to share the loft). The living room and dining areas enjoy water views. You'll have WiFi to let you keep in touch with friends and family (sharing pics of the great time you're having). As a bonus, there's laundry here - something not every cottage can offer.
Although we think you'll spend most of the time at the cottage, if you do feel like exploring the area a little, do try to catch the swing bridge in action. Near by Seeley's Bay is where you'll find everything you'll need - groceries, a couple of restaurants and an LCBO. If you are in the area for the first time, exploring historic Kingston/Gananoque and the Thousand Islands is an absolute must.

Waterfront
The lake is great for swimming, and is absolutely weed free and very clear, with a rock bottom. There are various floaties at the cottage that you're welcome to use. The dock is brand new, and has a ladder for ease of entry. The water is approximately 10' deep off the end. From the shoreline the water deeps quickly from about 4' off the concrete platform. The owners keep their boat tied up at the dock, but you're welcome to bring boats up to 22' and tie them up to the concrete platform section.
