Absolutely fantastic stay at this quintessential cottage. Very clean and cozy. Plenty of activities such as kayaking, canoeing and board games for all ages. We appreciated the life jackets on premise for kayaking/canoeing. The management (Christina) provided prompt communications through your stay with helpful check in/out information. The private lake dock made for easy water access was perfect for a restful weekend getaway.

We had a beautiful time at Lakehouse Escape. Plenty of privacy and space for the dog to explore under a canopy of healthy trees while we fished from the dock. Caught a couple big bass and pike. The kayak and canoes are beauties and the lake is the perfect size to explore safely. We appreciated the snacks and drinks waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived. The knives in the kitchen were nice and sharp which is a little thing but a thing. As usual CLRM does an excellent job describing this gem so read up and if the details work for your group, book before it’s gone.

The best feature of this property is its 360-degree privacy. The lake is beautiful with great swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. The lake does get busy on the weekends, but it is blissfully quiet during the week. The cottage is comfortable and functional with different zones for sitting, eating, etc. We spent a lot of time on the deck as well as the dock. The firepit is also perfectly located with a great view of the lake. We happened to see a loon family on a regular basis which was icing on the cake. Trains frequently pass on a track across the lake, but they really didn’t ditract from our stay.

This is a great property. The hosts have thought of everything including a few treats upon arrival and all the amenities necessary for a wonderful vacation. My wife and I enjoyed the seating area on the deck for reading and conversation along with the fire pit area where we could watch the lake and, in the evening, enjoy a cozy fire. Most of all we enjoyed sitting on the dock soaking up the sun and watching the boaters. I particularly liked the quiet and seclusion. No visible neighbours with trees providing privacy and shade. Being in our 70’s the stairs inside and out provided a challenge for fast trips to the dock but they also gave us some good exercise. We would consider renting this cottage again with excitement.

Although we enjoy the novelty of discovering a different cottage & lake each summer we may be tempted to re-visit this one. Thank you!

We had an awesome week at Oastler Lakehouse Escape, thanks to the owners who have maintained a gorgeous cozy and immaculately-clean cottage with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is the best-equipped kitchen ever, better than my own. And the fridge was filled with treats (the best butter tarts) and drinks and there was even a gift for my 2 month old grandson. So thoughtful! The LR and screened-in porch were great for just sitting and chatting or reading and playing games, so many one could never play them all! The deck had very comfy furniture with a great view of the lake. The best part? The lake. Amazing clean cool water that offered the best swimming and canoeing. I’m not the best swimmer but I swam across the lake, with my daughter alongside in the kayak. The best! I will definitely be back.
