Overview ↑↓
Unlike many cottage rentals that can have a cookie-cutter feel to them, Muskoka Pine View has been rebuilt by the owners to provide a unique layout on a unique site. The kitchen and dining area are the first things you see. Generous in size and beautifully laid out, these will be appreciated by the cooks in the family. The dining room table should sit your entire group for formal meals. A few stairs takes you down a half level to the living room, where a fireplace for cooler nights is complemented on the opposite wall by a big screen TV. The 2-storey windows open up your forested view to the river. Adjacent to the kitchen and living room is perhaps the star attraction of this cottage - a large, 2-level screened Muskoka room. This room is perfect for meals with an outside feel to them.
On the same level as the kitchen and dining room are the main bathroom and one bedroom (the bunk room). Down a half level takes you to two other bedrooms, (one with a small desk and workstation in case you need to check in with the office or attend a Zoom meeting, and the other for a couple who like a forest / river view with a walkout sliding door).
On the loft level is the bedroom that members of your group may fight for! From the log construction of the bed, to the cottagey feel, to the built-in dresser to a large ensuite - this is the room for the ones who deserve a treat.
Outside, a set of staircases take you down to the waterfront. You'll love the relaxed riverfront vibe here. A pair of kayaks await the explorer types, while a paddleboat is a perfect way for a young family to cruise the river. There's a raft for sunning and swimming, and a slide brings the play factor for the kids. The waterfront area can also be accessed by a public driving laneway and a short, level walk to the dock. Please note that watercraft and outdoor furniture are available during high season only.
The area is typical Muskoka - trees, lakes, scenery all day long. With two popular towns just a short drive away, you’ll have all you need in terms of groceries, dining and entertainment. Have a look and see what is happening at the Gravenhurst Opera House, or take in a movie at the Muskoka Drive In. We think Muskoka Pine View is one of those cottages where the day for being out and about is always "tomorrow"...so today can be spent enjoying the cottage and the beautiful waterfront.
