Best Birthday Weekend…….Ever!! We booked Madawaska Memories to celebrate our daughter’s 26th birthday, what a great idea!!! We enjoyed the company of family and friends. The weekend started with a BBQ on the deck overseeing the magnificent view of the Madawaska River and the surrounding property. Dinner was followed by a few hands of euchre, a relaxing visit in the hot tub and lots of laughter and conversation. Saturday included a breakfast prepared in the gourmet kitchen, sipping a “never ending” cup of coffee, playing a few board games, hiking to the chute then back for some hand crafted pizzas compliments of Wayne (AKA Wayno’s Pizza). When all of our bellies were full, we settled into the amazing living room, in front of the fireplace to cheer on the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Madawaska Memories is a paradise that needs to be experienced first hand. There are endless options for activities, beautiful beds that guarantee a great night sleep and the furniture is so comfortable whether you are curled up reading a book or watching TV. Our next booking is in July. We are very excited to explore the waterway in the kayaks and paddle boat and test our luck with the fishing. Thank you Julie and Wayne for sharing your incredible vacation home with our family.

We are not so sure if our story is about an adventure on our visit or more about how special it is for us to have such a wonderful place like MM. We don’t have human children but we feel we still have the very best ever with my husband and our two daughters. This past April we had a very big scare with one of the girls’ health that just went from bad to worse. One health problem after another arose to the point that they only gave her a 30% chance of life. Our family was being ripped apart for over 3 months. It was torture, but we are happy to say we all pulled through and she is our little miracle. We used to travel the world but we have resolved to only travel to places that our fur babes can come to as long as we are together. Having said all of the above without a place like MM that allows us and our kids we would not be able to get away as we used to. We had a blast here. We enjoyed the comfort. All of the amenities, (so many) the special touches. The amazing view, everything. This home, the location, the special details, the cozy family touch. Our best memories are the kayak adventures on the lake with the girls. The kayaks made our trip! So many laughs and cool things to see. So pretty out on the lake and so much fun. We wish we could add a pic to this write-up like in text but you will just have to imagine. This is our first escape since our April story & it was simply perfect. Our family thanks you both so much for sharing your special spot with us.

We were so honored to be the first guests here at Madawaska Memories. As a group of friends who live very far apart our annual trip is very special and this cottage delivered exactly what we needed-somewhere cozy and homey to catch up and relax. We’ve spent most of our time here sitting on the deck (the furniture is amazing!) and soaking up the gorgeous fall weather. This cottage truly has everything you could want in a rental. The owners didn’t miss a single detail and we’ve loved every minute of our stay. We can’t wait to come back again next year! Thanks for sharing this incredible spot with us.

The family arrived for Christmas gathering and a few days of down time! A great time was enjoyed by all – fire pit, hot tub and some serious puzzle building! There was nothing missed in the rental, rooms and bed were comfortable- fun games room area with walk out – hot tub and fire pit was available- linens were supplied, except for tub towels (we brought those) we all felt like we never left home! Definitely will come back!
