The bright and welcoming cottage is designed for comfort, connection, and taking in the beauty that surrounds you. The beautiful four-season sunroom overlooking the lake is a favourite gathering place to enjoy a morning coffee, settle in with a good book, share meaningful conversations with family and friends, or simply take in the changing beauty of the lake in every season. The open-concept living space provides the perfect setting for shared meals, games, and time together, while still offering quiet corners to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. A separate sleep cabin provides additional privacy for families or friends travelling together, creating the ideal balance of shared experiences and personal space.
Loon Lookout is also a wonderful winter escape. When the lake transforms into a snowy landscape, guests can enjoy the quiet beauty of the season, nearby snowmobiling adventures, and the unique experience of ice fishing on Lake Nipissing. Return from a day outdoors to the warmth of the cottage, the glow of the sauna, and the peaceful views of the winter shoreline.

- Sleep cabin: 2 bedrooms (1 with queen, 1 with 2 single beds)
- 3 bathrooms (2 3-piece bathrooms with showers only (1 in main cottage and 1 in the sleep cabin - showers only, no tub), 1 2-piece powder room)

Things you need to know:
- A maximum of 2 medium-sized dogs are welcome, but no cats or other pets please
- Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
- Watercraft are available seasonally when conditions allow (typically Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, depending on water levels, safety, and weather); refunds will not be provided if conditions prevent use. - THIS CAN BE REMOVED FOR NON-WATERFRONT LISTINGS THAT DON’T PROVIDE WATERCRAFT
- Linens are not provided – please bring your own bed linens and towels
- Garbage and recycling disposal is required for rentals from September to June
- Post departure cleaning is arranged immediately following your check out time. Please ensure the short pre-departure cleaning checklist is completed and you have fully checked out of the cottage by your departure time to avoid any additional cleaning fees.

Accessibility
- Relatively easy entry and exit from parking area (few if any stairs, railing(s) where needed), Furniture spaced enough to allow for walker or wheelchair access, At least one main floor bedroom and bathroom.
- There is a walking path to the water with an incline, and may not be suitable for anyone with mobility concerns. You can join us for a walk up that path in this video.
Waterfront
The dock offers deep, clear water with few to no weeds and no gradual entry. A ladder provides easy access for swimming, fishing is possible from the dock, and the southern exposure offers plenty of sunshine.Boating

- French River Provincial Park. Canada's first Heritage River, the French River offers excellent paddling, boating, fishing, and kayaking, plus an award-winning Visitor Centre. (35 mins).
- French River Trading Post. For over 60 years, the French River Trading Post has welcomed Highway 69 travellers. Once a small gift shop, it has grown into a thriving hospitality destination with dining and exceptional service. (35 mins)
- French River ATV Tours. Explore the French River area by ATV on scenic trails through forests, rugged terrain, and beautiful backcountry landscapes. Guided tours offer an exciting way to experience the region’s natural beauty and hidden gems. (15 mins)
- Snowmobiling. The OFSC trail system connects through local forest roads and backcountry routes around French River, Noelville, and Monetville. Ice fishing is possible on the lake (bring your own equipment).
