This beautiful cottage rental in the Kawarthas, on beautiful, quiet White Lake is conveniently located just 25 minutes from Kinmount, 40 minutes from Bobcaygeon, and less than 3 hours from Toronto. The well-treed lot provides privacy from neighbouring cottages, while still allowing guests to admire a clear view of the lake. The cottage is bright and airy, with a clean feel and attractive design and furnishings. There is a modern, fully-equipped, kitchen that is perfect for group meals (no dishwasher), a large dining table with seating for 8, living room with wood-burning fireplace, and even a telescope for those wanting to enjoy the star-filled sky at night. On the other side of the fireplace, there's a separate seating area that's set up as a TV room, with a smart TV and comfortable seating. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds, and the third bedroom has two sets of single bunks, perfect for kids to make memories at the cottage! The cottage also includes a 3-piece bathroom with walk-in shower (no tub).
Outside, there is a large deck overlooking the lake, with seating for 10 at the outdoor dining table. The deck faces south, providing lots of sun exposure, but there's an umbrella to provide some shade! In front of the cottage, you'll find a firepit with ample seating to enjoy the summer nights and great conversations. Down at the waterfront, there's another large deck with plenty of seating, plus another umbrella to provide shade. Whether you would like to enjoy a meal on the deck, relax by the water or enjoy the traditional cottage s'mores around the firepit, this waterfront cottage rental has spectacular views on all levels! Entry to the water is shallow, perfect for small children, and there's also easy entry from the dock via the ladder.
Nearby, be sure to visit Highland Cinemas in Kinmount (25 mins), a unique multiplex theatre and film museum, where you can not only watch a recently released movie, but also view the displays leading to each theatre, and even stop by and admire the extensive cat sanctuary surrounding the theatre! Bobcaygeon is just 40 minutes away with its picturesque downtown (offering the best shopping in the area), the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve is just an hour away - there you can visit the world-renowned Wolf Centre, take a Walk in the Clouds, and much more!

Waterfront
White Lake is a quiet lake, great for swimming and quiet enjoyment. There is shallow entry to the lake, perfect for young children, with a mix of rock, sand, and pebble. It's mainly clear of weeds in the swimming area. Although there are motor boats on the lake, the traffic and noise is minimal.Close-By Attractions
- Highlands Cinemas. Not just a unique multi-plex theatre featuring currently available movies, it's also a museum showcasing the history of film and kitschy items from each decade, and a cat sanctuary outside! (25 mins)
- Kinmount. Take a self-guided historical walking tour of Kinmount, visit the Kinmount Farmer's Market (held Saturdays in the park, the Kinmount Model Railroad and Museum, or the Kinmount Fair, the largest county fair in the area - (held every Labour Day weekend.
- Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve. Visit a sustainably managed forest that's open to the public (for a fee), with many kilometres of hiking and snowmobiling trails, a lumber museum, a world-renowned Wolf Centre, even take a Walk in the Clouds if you're feeling adventurous! (1 hour)
- Bobcaygeon. You'll find everything you want and need in scenic downtown Bobcaygeon. Bobcaygeon boasts one of Ontario's largest suppliers of shoes and swimwear (Bigley's), as well as elegant home decor shops, unique gift shops, sporting supplies and services, and beautiful clothing stores.
