Welcome to The Lake House, a custom built 5 bedroom cottage on beautiful Bay Lake just 10 mins from Bancroft. Designed by siblings as a family retreat for holidays and family vacations, this 3 story cottage is the perfect gathering place for you and your guests of all ages.
Arriving at the cottage, it will be hard to miss the amazing floating dock in the bay with built-in seating on one side. The large flat lawn is perfect for outdoor yard games and little ones to run around all day.
Walking into the cottage you'll find a large foyer with plenty of space for bringing in all your bags and coolers. The owners have thought of everything and even have a central charging station right at the front door, for all of your devices!
Making your way in, you'll notice the sliding barn door and powder room straight ahead and the stairways leading up to the bedrooms and down to the games room. Just beyond the stairs the dining room is perfectly placed for family meals.
The kitchen is so bright and welcoming with a large centre island and has everything you could need to prepare delicious meals and snacks. As a family retreat, you can imagine how many holiday feasts and special treats have been made here! In addition to the lakeview, beside the kitchen is access to the main level of the two-tiered deck, which is perfect for passing items back and forth for BBQing and enjoying dining outside overlooking the lake.
Upstairs there are two primary suites, a bunk room for younger guests and the 4th bedroom. The 3-piece bathroom with tiled shower is centrally located in the main hall, where you will also find the door leading to the upper level of the sun deck. Overlooking the lake, it's a nice quite spot to relax in the early morning or at dusk and the staircase down to the lawn is ideal for sending the kids straight to their bedrooms to change, after being in the water all day!
For those that love games and testing their skills, the lower level is the perfect place for some friendly competition. Show off your pool tricks on the billiards table, test your trivia and strategic thinking with one of the dozens of games and see who's quickest with a round of foosball!
The lower walkout level has another great feature for coming back inside with a 3rd bathroom, complete with a bathtub, when a quick break from the outside fun is needed. You'll also find a cozy corner for watching movies and your favourite sports. The 5th bedroom is also on this level and ideal for guests that may prefer to sleep downstairs.
The Lake House is a perfect Ontario cottage rental for families and friends to gather year round.
