We found this place to be perfect for our extended family vacation, which ranges in age from infant to grandparents. This place is amazingly clean and has everything you need, plus extra fun water and land toys for all ages. All three rental units were decorated with so much thought and care to add to the stay. The whole family has requested to definitely return. The train schedule is inconsistent and notable but was never an interruption in our stay, it became a part of the vacation memories and wonder, along with the large outdoor spacious property and waterfront. Beautiful property with incredible water craft/toys. Cottage and Log Cabin units well set up. Lots of picnic table options including in the garage. The kids had fun riding the tandem bike. My husband is a train lover and enjoyed watching the trains. The only surprise was the short walk to the beach which included a paved steep hill. This did not detract from our enjoyment. The beach was excellent with great sand and the water was very shallow for a great distance out. This was perfect for our grandkids (3/5). There were rocks close to shore and the advice to use water shoes appreciated. Wifi service was really good and smart tv’s very easy to connect to. We plan to return.

This was our second time staying at Journey’s end, and we had an amazing time once again. The property consists of three seperate cottages, which makes it perfect for a few families to visit together but still have some personal space. The private ravine to the lake is beautiful. We loved coming down to watch the birds and drink coffee by by water in the mornings and sit by thr bonfire at night. It’s far enough away that we could sing by the fire without disturbing the neighbors. The cottage includes tonnes of amenities. You can find bikes (tandem bikes too), paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and every sort of ball imaginable. The kitchen in the yellow cottage is very spacious and we hosted Thanksgiving dinner there for the past two years. The wifi is 5G, but since the modem is in the garage the signal is not the strongest. I would recommend to bring your own signal booster if you wanted to get some work done during your stay.

A really great place to stay! We had kids ranging in age from 5-14 and there was enough variety of toys, amenities and more to keep us all entertained. The cottages were immaculate and well maintained. Water was very shallow for quite a ways out and great for small kids. Only drawback was the train tracks. Kids slept right through tue trains going by but you could definitely hear them. Definitely recommend this place though!

This is by far the best cottage we have rented over the years. This place is amazing and has everything you need. The log cabin is restored with such craftsmanship and attention to detail – a true delight. There is lots of space both indoor and outdoor, and a great option for several families. The beach and water toys provided were so much fun for everyone. We will definitely return to this cottage.

Another awesome time at Journey’s End…! The combination of the yellow cottage and the log cabins is absolutely perfect for 2 families. The passion and workmanship that went into the restoration of the log cabin is now matched by the efficiency and quality of the offering of this spectacular rental accommodation. Wonderful view of the lake and river. Lovely warm fireplaces, well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge in the cottage with plenty of space for kids to hang out. We’ll be back for sure.
