Overview ↑↓
Tucked away on a quiet, hidden road in Glenelg Centre, not far from the charming village of Flesherton, you’ll find Grouse Hill Cottage, a private retreat where nature and comfort meet. Set on the tranquil shores of the Saugeen River, this expansive property offers a peaceful Grey County escape, perfect for families and friends seeking both relaxation and adventure.
Though you may pass one or two neighbors on your way in, the cottage itself is nestled on 90 acres of private wilderness. Explore forested trails on foot or by bike, discover hidden corners of the property, or simply follow the river’s edge until you reach the freshly fed pond. Here, children can wade and swim while adults float lazily under the sun. At dusk, the pondside deck glows softly with solar lights, an enchanting spot for a glass of wine as the sun slips below the horizon.
Evenings are best spent on the riverside patio, gathered around the fire pit, or sharing a meal at the picnic table. Roast marshmallows, swap stories under the stars, and let the night sounds of Grey County remind you how far away you are from the noise of everyday life.
Inside, Grouse Hill Cottage is designed for comfort. The main level welcomes you with a bright kitchen and dining space, which flows into a sunken living room surrounded by windows framing the water views. Upstairs, you’ll find the primary bedroom and a cozy second bedroom, while the lower level offers a third bedroom, a futon lounge, and direct access to the yard. A second bathroom, laundry room, and a games room, complete with a pool table and ping pong, make it easy to balance relaxation with fun.
Whether you’re sipping coffee on the deck, hiking through acres of untouched land, or gathering for family game night, Grouse Hill Cottage offers a slice of Grey County that feels like your own private retreat.
