As we arrived at Evergreen Lodge, what should have been a bright spring day quickly turned into a mesmerizing Muskoka ice storm. The towering evergreens, wrapped in crystal-clear frost, shimmered in the unexpected winter wonderland. While the photos may not yet do it justice, this stunning retreat is a place that begs to be experienced in every season.
From the moment you step inside, it’s clear how much love and attention has been poured into every detail of the home. The front hall greets you with a spacious walk-in closet, perfect for tucking away winter gear or summer lake essentials, keeping the space pristine and inviting. Moving into the heart of the home, the living room beckons with its cozy ambiance—whether you prefer curling up with a book by the fireplace or settling into an armchair with a steaming cup of tea, there’s a perfect spot waiting just for you.
Flowing effortlessly from the living room, the well-equipped kitchen is a dream for culinary enthusiasts. Unlike many similar homes in the Northern Lights development, Evergreen Lodge stands out with its thoughtful touches—small appliances at your fingertips, a collection of cookbooks brimming with inspiration, and a layout designed for both function and warmth. Just off the kitchen, the three-season Muskoka Room provides a serene space to enjoy an evening meal, swap stories over appetizers, or simply listen to the rustling of the evergreens.
The bedrooms are designed with rest and relaxation in mind. The primary suite, a private oasis, features a queen bed bathed in natural light, a luxurious ensuite with both a soaking tub and shower, and a walk-in closet for settling in comfortably. A second queen bedroom offers floor-to-ceiling windows and semi-ensuite access, making it a welcoming retreat for another couple or close friends. Need an additional room? The charming third bedroom, with its twin trundle bed and a tucked-away workspace, is ideal for children or those who need to sneak in a bit of work during their escape.
Downstairs, the lower-level rec room is a hub of fun and friendly competition. With a full-sized ping-pong table, a mini pool table, and foosball, it’s the perfect space to unwind and create lasting memories. - Ontario Parks Annual Day-Use Vehicle permit for 2025 avail for 1 car per reservation. To be left at the cottage on departure

- Pets are not permitted
- This cottage is in the Township of Lake of Bays; Licence # STR-2025-31. The Municipal STR Licence restricts the cottage to maximum 4 people at any given time during your stay. The Municipality requires rental guests sign a Rental Guest Code of Conduct. It will be sent to you upon booking for electronic signature.
- Linens are provided – please bring your own outdoor towels
- Rentals include a cleaning service; however, the departure checklist must be completed
- The cottage has a smart TV that will allow you to sign into any of the streaming services you personally subscribe to. Please note, these services will require your personal login information and are not provided
- Garbage and recycling disposal is required prior to departure
- The landscape around Northern Lights Chalet and within the Northern Lights Community is hilly, please use caution around drops

The Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve is a publicly accessible private year-round wilderness haven with twenty private lakes and more than 10,000 unspoiled acres of mixed forest, with more than 70 km of hiking and biking trails, free to the public (20 mins)
- Dorset Lookout Tower. Visitors are welcome to climb to the observation deck, which is 142 metres (465 feet) above Lake of Bays, and enjoy the view from the tree-top lookout as well as ground level lookouts. (20 mins)
- Robinson’s General Store. This famous general store is a "must-see" for anyone visiting the Muskoka or Haliburton area. The store has been owned and operated by the same family since 1921, and now sprawls over 14,000 sq.ft. of retail space. (20 mins)
