This Bruce Peninsula cottage rental is very conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance (10 minutes) of Sauble's famous beach on beautiful Lake Huron, and it's a 5-minute drive to Sauble Falls Provincial Park. Whatever you decide to do for the day you will surely want to cool off by jumping in the pool when you get back to the cottage.
Split your days between lounging on the beach, riding the waves, and hanging out poolside, or exploring the surrounding area with a nice hike or day trip to Tobermory which is only an hour away. A stroller, beach toys, and beach chairs are thoughtfully provided for those beach days, plus a set of fishing equipment.
At the cottage you'll enjoy the solitude of the private tree-lined property, complete with a deck for outdoor dining and a separately gated and decked swimming area. Wear out the kids' excess energy by kicking the soccer ball around, shooting some hoops, or swimming in the pool! On days where the weather won't cooperate, there's always ping pong or darts in the garage, or a board game or movie in the cottage.
The cottage itself is comfortably furnished and well equipped, with 3 smart TVs, unlimited internet, Blu Ray and standard DVD players, and a selection of DVDs and board games. There are three bedrooms - two with queen-sized beds and a bunk room with 2 sets of bunks and another smart TV - making this room a great place for the kids to hang out!
The Sauble River (10 minutes away) is great for canoeing and kayaking, so bring your watercraft and enjoy a paddle! If you don't have one of your own, rentals are available at OuterVision Adventure Tours. Tobermory is just an hour away, and well-worth the drive to this charming port-side town on the tip of Bruce Peninsula. Shop their downtown or enjoy one of the local restaurants, or even take a boat tour to Flowerpot Island where you can view the shipwrecks along the way in one of the glass-bottomed boats.
If you're looking for an afternoon activity, Wiarton is close by (20 min drive) where you can enjoy the many shops and restaurants, or drive north or south down the coast of Lake Huron to see some of the other communities and experience their unique flavours and shops, including Oliphant (15 mins), Southampton (10 mins), or Port Elgin (20 mins).
