Discover Charleston Ranch, a brand new, custom-built cottage nestled in the heart of Eastern Ontario. Conveniently located for travelers along the 401 corridor, it's the ideal meeting spot for families coming from Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, or even New York State. The cottage's proximity to major highways makes it an easy drive from various locations, ensuring a hassle-free journey for all guests.
Charleston Ranch is designed to accommodate up to 8 guests, making it perfect for 4 couples or two families looking to create lasting memories together. The cottage features 4 beautifully appointed bedrooms, each equipped with a Queen bed and a semi-ensuite bathroom. This thoughtful layout ensures privacy and comfort, allowing everyone to enjoy their own space while being part of the shared cottage experience. The spacious living areas are perfect for gathering and relaxation, providing a welcoming environment for all.
There is currently no waterfront access, but you're welcome to use the free public dock and boat launch, a mere 10-minute walk or 3-minute drive from the cottage. At the boat launch, you can wade in from shore or take a jump off the dock and swim or float to your heart's content before making your way back to the cottage. This temporary arrangement ensures you can still enjoy the water activities you love.
No cottage evening is complete without a campfire overlooking the lake! While you can't physically get to the lake from this cottage, you can still take in the traditional cottage campfire experience. With 8 comfortable chairs situated around the fire pit, just beyond the parking area, you can bask in the views of Mud Bay on Charleston Lake while roasting marshmallows or even cooking a fun campfire dinner right outside the cottage's door.

Waterfront
The cottage has no direct water access currently, but just a few minutes from the cottage is a boat launch a large dock and ladder. Wade into the lake at the boat launch, wearing your water shoes. Jump in off the end of the dock and climb up the swim ladder to do it again, or take your floaties into the lake for a day of fun!Close-By Attractions
- Charleston Lake Provincial Park. A favourite family destination offering excellent swimming, boating, fishing and wildlife viewing. The rocky lake and forest landscape is an extension of the Canadian Shield. There are great hiking trails, including a vantage point from the highest peak in the county, and a Nature Centre and Natural Heritage Education program. (5 mins)
- 1000 Islands Tower. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the 1000 Islands Tower, see the 1000 Islands & St. Lawrence River. The 1000 Islands Tower is a unique tourist attraction, the only one of its kind in the 1000 Islands. From the top you will see the best of what the area has to offer. Don't worry - there's an elevator! (20 mins)
- Joel Stone Heritage Park - Gananoque. Relaxed beachside locale with a band shell, open green space for recreation & historical monuments. (25 minutes).
- Shorelines Casino. Enjoy live music at Shorelines Casino Belleville, where talented local and guest artists take the stage. From soulful jazz to rocking tunes, they offer a diverse range of musical genres to cater to all tastes. (20 mins)
