Your journey to Blue Pine is part of the adventure. Whether you choose the scenic drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Algonquin Provincial Park or travel around its perimeter, you'll be rewarded with a secluded lakeside escape where nature takes centre stage.
One of the first things you'll notice upon arrival is the incredible privacy. With just one neighboring cottage nearby and Crown Land stretching across the lake, you'll enjoy uninterrupted views and the peaceful sounds of nature instead of busy waterfronts and crowded shorelines.
Inside, Blue Pine offers a warm and welcoming blend of traditional cottage charm and modern comfort. The cottage features three cozy bedrooms, a bright living area, a fully equipped kitchen with dining space, a beautifully renovated three-piece bathroom, and a relaxing sunroom where you can enjoy your morning coffee or unwind after a day outdoors. A dedicated games nook with a table and bar provides the perfect setting for family board games, card nights, or rainy-day entertainment.
Step outside to experience everything cottage life should be. Gather around the large lakeside fire pit as the sun sets over McCauley Lake, relax on the patio, or try cooking dinner on the property's original hand-built charcoal barbecue for an authentic cottage tradition. An electric barbecue will also be available for added convenience.
Just a short walk down a few steps brings you to your own private sandy beach—an uncommon feature for the area. The soft sand is perfect for children building sandcastles, adults soaking up the sunshine, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon by the water. The lake entry is sandy and gradually deepens, making it ideal for swimming and wading. Early in the season the lakebed may feel soft underfoot, becoming firmer as summer progresses.
Beside the beach, the dock offers a peaceful place to relax in Adirondack chairs while watching the water, listening to birdsong, and taking in the untouched beauty of the surrounding landscape.

- Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
- This cottage is in the Tsp of South Algonquin; Licence # ST2026-017. The Municipal STR Licence restricts the cottage to maximum 6 people at any given time during your stay.
- Watercraft are available seasonally when conditions allow (typically Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, depending on water levels, safety, and weather); refunds will not be provided if conditions prevent use.
- Linens are provided – please bring your own outdoor towels
- Garbage and recycling disposal is required
- Post departure cleaning is arranged immediately following your check out time. Please ensure the short pre-departure cleaning checklist is completed and you have fully checked out of the cottage by your departure time to avoid any additional cleaning fees.

Waterfront
With 125 feet of private waterfront and a northwestern exposure, this property is the perfect spot to enjoy afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets. A dock and small shallow walkout area provide easy lake access, with a soft, silty bottom. Water is approximately 4–6 feet deep off the dock, deepening further out for swimming, where it’s mostly clear of weeds. Water shoes are highly recommended. Fishing is possible off the dock.Boating
There is a dock that will accommodate small boats, and a public boat launch on the lake.Close-By Attractions

- Upper Madawaska River Provincial Park. Hiking trails, canoeing, white water paddling, and fishing. (15 mins)
- Madawaska Kanu Centre. Wind your way through 5 fun-filled kilometres of tumbling whitewater in a wilderness setting, just east of Algonquin Park. There are 2 different trips along the same stretch of river. Choose the level of excitement best for you or your group. (50 mins)
- Lake St. Peter Provincial Park. Lake St. Peter Provincial Park is a quiet, forested park just south of Algonquin Park, known for its sandy beach, calm lake, and classic Canadian Shield scenery. (45 mins)
