Overview ↑↓
Tucked into the quiet woods outside Arden, Ontario, Air D&D on Big Clear Lake welcomes you like an old friend. When you turn off Highway 7 and meander down the cottage laneway, you'll feel the everyday melt away. The trees open up, the lake sparkles, and as you pull in, you’ll know—you’ve found something special. The cottage sits gently tucked into the landscape, offering seclusion for peace and privacy, yet close enough to all the natural attractions Central Frontenac has to offer.
This cottage tells a story of timeless summers. Lovingly renovated and thoughtfully expanded, it has charm in every nook and comfort in every corner. The main living area is cozy and welcoming, perfect for movie nights or rainy-day board games. One queen bedroom is tucked off the living space, with three more bedrooms accessed through the open kitchen and dining area—two additional queens and a fun bunk room that’s perfect for kids. The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked with all the essentials to keep the family happy.
Step outside to the deck and take in a view that never gets old—Big Clear Lake glistening in the sun, loons calling in the distance. With a BBQ, ample seating, and a table for al fresco meals, the deck is the heartbeat of summer life. Just steps away is the private dock with seating—ideal for casting a line, diving into the clear water, or sipping your coffee as the mist lifts. For little swimmers (and four-legged friends), there’s a shallow walk-in area with a sandy, rocky bottom and a weed-cleared stretch for splashing.
After dinner, wander to the lakeside fire pit—set beside the shoreline—for s’mores, stories, and stargazing. Handy built-in tables around the pit make it easy to keep drinks or snacks close. And when the day winds down, after paddling, hiking nearby trails, or simply doing nothing at all, you’ll fall asleep to the sounds of frogs and the distant call of a loon.
Air D&D on Big Clear Lake is where families unplug, memories are made, and nature does all the talking.

Waterfront
There is 170’ of frontage, with a shallow walk in sand bottom, gradually deepening to 5’ deep off the dock (no diving). Sun exposure is east, with sunrises from the window and dock. Big Clear Lake is known for clear clean water with a sandy bottom. The cottage shoreline is kept in place with granite boulders. The swim area is maintained and cleared yearly. The depth in front of the cottage is 5 feet with a gradual drop off to 12-16 feet as you swim out from the dock.
There is a large mass of water lilies in view of the cottage, which are beautiful when in full bloom in late summer. These plants are 30 feet out, and don't impede on the swim area at the cottage dock. A public beach and swim dock platform are only a short swim or snorkel away. There are some weeds, but it’s generally good for swimming.
