Perched on the shores of Trading Bay, just a short stroll from the village of Dorset, Adventure Bays offers the ideal balance of lakeside relaxation and family fun. This raised bungalow features plenty of space across two levels, making it a great choice for families or groups looking to enjoy both comfort and activity.
Upstairs, you’ll find three inviting bedrooms and a bright 4-piece bathroom that conveniently includes laundry facilities. The well-equipped kitchen opens to a dining area where big windows frame beautiful lake views, with a walkout to the deck for morning coffee or evening BBQs. The cozy living room, complete with a propane fireplace, provides a warm gathering place at the end of the day.
The lower level expands your living space with an additional bedroom, a 3-piece bathroom, and a recreation room designed for entertainment. Here, guests can enjoy a pool table, air hockey, an entertainment center, a board game table, comfortable seating, and even an extra bunk bed set—perfect for kids and teens.
Just a 15-minute walk brings you to the heart of Dorset, where you can browse local shops, visit the iconic Dorset Tower for a panoramic view of Lake of Bays, or enjoy a treat from a local café. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the area’s hiking trails, boating, and fishing opportunities. The cottage is also perfectly located for exploring the Haliburton to Huntsville corridor, which offers everything from arts and cultural attractions to dining and outdoor adventures. A short drive south takes you to Baysville, a charming village known for its small-town hospitality, lakeside parks, and craft brewery.

- A maximum of 1 dog is welcome (no other pets permitted)
- This cottage is in the Township of Algonquin Highlands; Licence #STR25-00073. The Municipal STR Licence restricts the cottage to maximum 8 people at any given time during your stay. The Municipality requires rental guests sign a Rental Guest Code of Conduct. It will be sent to you upon booking for electronic signature.
- Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
- Linens are provided – please bring your own outdoor towels
- Post-departure cleaning is arranged immediately following your check out time. Please ensure the short pre-departure cleaning checklist is completed and you have fully checked out of the cottage by your departure time to avoid any additional cleaning fees.
- The cottage TV has a Roku that will allow you to sign into any of the streaming services you personally subscribe to. Please note, these services will require your personal login information and are not provided.
- Electric vehicles: Not suitable at cottage, but EV Charging station at the Dorset recreation centre, about a 5-10min walk from the cottage

Waterfront
The property offers approximately 115 feet of waterfront with a shallow, sandy/pebble walk-in area ideal for young children. Guests can wade about 6 feet before the depth drops to 10–12 feet off the dock. The water is relatively clear with a mostly sandy bottom, few to no weeds, and fishing is possible with a license.Sun Exposure

There is a boat launch and 2 marinas within minutes of the cottage. There are cleats to tie a boat up with, accommodating a large pontoon boat. The dock is generally in place between the Victoria Day weekend and the end of September, water levels permitting.Close-By Attractions
- Dorset. The cottage is within walking distance to "Pizza on Earth" which has amazing stone-oven pizza (and bagels on weekends). Just minutes away in the Robinson's General Store main area of Dorset you’ll find an LCBO, an ice cream store, and two restaurants with delicious menus.
- Robinson’s General Store. This famous general store is a "must-see" for anyone visiting the Muskoka or Haliburton area. The store has been owned and operated by the same family since 1921, and now sprawls over 14,000 sq.ft. of retail space. (2 mins)
- Dorset Lookout Tower. Visitors are welcome to climb to the observation deck, which is 142 metres (465 feet) above Lake of Bays, and enjoy the view from the tree-top lookout as well as ground level lookouts. (3 mins)
