As Canada and the world maneuvers through the current COVID-19 pandemic, the sun still shines, the rain still falls and the tulips are still coming up through the earth. Spring is in the air and while we all spend time indoors with our families, the brave front line workers are busy day in and out providing essential services for all of us. So, while we’re safe inside, let’s plan ahead to summer so that when the lockdown situation lifts, we’re prepared to do what we’re all wanting the most — to spend time with our families and friends at the cottage!
While planning doesn’t necessarily mean placing a booking quite yet, it may mean any of the following:
- looking at possible dates
- chatting with family and friends about where you’d like to visit
- researching properties
- setting a budget
- meal planning
- drafting a packing list
So, spend your quiet time starting your summer vacation plans! Even if they don’t come to light this summer, you’ve already got your summer plans for 2021 started!
If nothing else, being in a mild lockdown has forced us to think outside ourselves. We’ve become overly aware of everything we take for granted in life and as we move through this phase, we remind ourselves that creating memories and having fun with those who mean the most to us is the most important and everything else is just filler. Let’s plan ahead to summer!
