About This Cottage

Renovated with care and attention to detail, this little gem on Lake of Bays is a great addition to our portfolio.

Tucked into a small bay, away from the bustle of the main lake, this is a peaceful location to relax and chill out. While the area in front of the cottage isn't good for swimming, the owners have thoughtfully provided 3 kayaks, so you can paddle out to a small island just outside the bay and enjoy a good swim in clear water.

The cottage itself looks small from the outside but is surprisingly spacious once you step inside. With a very well-equipped kitchen, the cottage cook is going to enjoy spending time in there, while the rest of the group can relax in the living area or on the deck.

Three bedrooms are on the main floor along with a good-sized bathroom, while the master bedroom and additional bathroom are located on the lower level, which has a door to the exterior.

The grassy area on the waterside of the property is nicely shaded and has a fire ring surrounded by log stools where you can enjoy the campfire on a starry night.

Towns-End is located in a great spot only 20 minutes from either Huntsville, Bracebridge or Dorset. The little town of Baysville, which is home to the Lake of Bays Brewery, a couple of great restaurants, a bakery specialising in butter tarts, and a general store is just a 5 minute drive.

There is so much to do in the area you may want to plan a few full days out - or just stay put, fish, paddle, read a few books, and relax.

It's vacation time!

Nearby Huntsville is the largest town in the Muskoka Region and is located in the hilly terrain of the Canadian Shield, which is dotted with many lakes, both large and small. Due to its natural environment and natural resources, Huntsville is a thriving tourist destination drawing people from around the world. In 2011 The Toronto Star ranked the town the #1 place to take a summer trip. Huntsville also acts as the western gateway to Algonquin Provincial Park and played host to the G8 Summit in June 2010. August 2019
During this summer, we had the opportunity to stay in Towns-End-Cottage at Baysville, Muskoka for a week. It was an excellent cottage, well located overlooking the lake and very cozy, convenient, and comfortable for all practical purposes. The cottage appears to be brand new with a good heating system and ventilation. All the three bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent with very firm king-size beds having dove pillows, comforter and high-end cotton sheet covers. We found the owner of the cottage Mr. Andrew was a delightful gentleman, cooperative, helpful and responded to our call and provide all sorts of assistance to make our stay enjoyable. Special thanks to the owner for providing the filtered drinking water. We have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to any family for their stay
