About This Cottage

Cottage Country has got a little crowded and it's rare to find a really private cottage where there are no neighbours in sight. Rock Lake Hideaway sits on 3 acres so you're unlikely to see anyone else while sitting on your deck, barbecuing or enjoying a campfire at night.

Once down on the dock it's much the same, as the cottage is located in a little bay with just one other dock nearby.

Lucerne Lake is a no-motor lake so you won't hear any boats or get buzzed by seadoos when you are out for a swim or in the paddleboat. It only adds to the peace and tranquility.

The cottage is on one level with a queen bedroom and bathroom at each end. The kitchen, living and dining area are in the centre, so two couples traveling together each have private space. There's a pullout couch in the living room as well.

The deck has a BBQ, patio table and swing set for lazing in the sun or shade, and there are two ways to access the water - by a set of steps leading off the deck, or a natural pathway from the area beside the cottage.

The shoreline and entry to the lake is a little silty so access is better from the end of the dock into deeper and clear water. Swimming is great and if you want to explore but stay dry there's a paddleboat and rowboat.

Bancroft is just 10-minutes away for groceries, general shopping and restaurants. There's trails nearby for walking your pets and Silent Lake Provincial Park is a 25-minute drive for a day out, a hike and a picnic on the beach.
