About This Cottage

CLRM is pleased to be able to offer another "classic". 3 bedrooms, 1 bath and a nice waterfront, set in the heart of Muskoka. This is a place for families to really relax and unwind at the cottage - and while the Lakeside Escape feels as cottagey as the place you rented with your parents 30 years ago, it is also complete with modern appliances and up to date amenities.

The living room enjoys a view of the lake as well as a flat screen satellite TV, so the view is there for you in either direction. A wood stove will keep you warm on those occasional chilly late summer nights. The kitchen is fully equipped and, along with the BBQ, enables you to prepare all those great cottage meals, the ones that taste so much better after a good swim. There is a sunroom that enjoys a view of the deck and lake. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a game, a book, a coffee or simply catch some zzz's. If you want to catch a bit of a breeze, the adjacent screened porch lets you dine outside while any bugs look on enviously from the other side of the screen.

The waterfront offers a great place to swim, boat or just relax in the sun. The water is clear and deepens gradually. If water activities are not in the plan for the time being, relaxing on the deck is always an option - you can opt for the full sun or the shade in the gazebo or under the trees.

You'll enjoy barbecuing on the deck, but if the cook goes on strike for a day, you can drive (or walk if you are feeling like some exercise) around the lake to the Bass Lake Roadhouse and enjoy some restaurant fare. We recommend a day trip into some of the small towns that characterise Muskoka, such as Port Carling, Rosseau and Bala. The cranberry marsh near Bala is an interesting tour and a nice place to try some different wines.

This was a great place! We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The pictures don’t do it justice! The open concept living space was perfect, Kitchen is nice with everything you will need. The beds were comfortable, the screened in porch was perfect for any meal & the deck out back has a great view. We had perfect weather to enjoy the water for swims across the lake & use of the kayaks. The dock is where we spent most of our time in the comfy Muskoka Chairs! Thank you for a wonderful & rejuvenating trip!

First time ever going to muskoka, absolutely beautiful! This cottage was the perfect place for my family to stay. It was very close to the boat launch and I’m a great location to Port Carling. The downfall: we had many carpenter ants starting to take over inside the cottage. Killing ants and re cleaning all the kitchen equipment was not fun. They also got in to any food or beverage left unsealed. I believe the owners will be dealing with the ants now that we have left. Aside from this, the lake was gorgeous and perfect for swimming. Fishing wise we cought lots of bass (aka bass lake). The bedrooms were clean and comfy. Bathroom was in great condition. We loved the sunroom, where we spent most of our meals and time (it rained a lot the week we were there). The fire pit was used a few times as there was a fire ban prior to this. Fire pit is right in front of the lake, beautiful. Overall loved our time here minus the ants but would definitely book again!
