About This Cottage

If you are looking for the perfect place to get your family together for a the best vacation ever; where the kids can swim, jump and dive; where grandparents can have their own private space, and where lifetime memories will be made, Kingswood is the one for you.

Nestled right next to the Queen Elizabeth Wildlands Provincial Park, this location is perfect for canoeing and kayaking, and to feel that 'away from it all' vibe. It's a nature lovers paradise so if you want to catch sight of a beaver, otter, blue heron, loon, to name a few, make sure you have a camera handy. And, then there's the fishing!! Some of the best fishing in Head Lake is just off the shoreline.

With the great location has to come great cottages and this doesn't disappoint either. The larger post and beam cottage is spacious yet feels cosy and comfortable. The kitchen has Miele appliances and granite countertops for that luxury feel, yet the wealth of wood gives it a 'cottagey' feel. There is one bedroom on the main level and three more upstairs that share a bathroom. There's a two piece ensuite to the master bedroom.

The smaller cottage is completely self-contained and has its' own driveway and waterfront area. You can relax on the deck with a drink and enjoy private space while being close to the main cottage when you need to get together with the family. With three bedrooms, a full bathroom and kitchen, living and dining area…and a screened sunroom, this is a complete getaway.

Step outside onto the decks and take in the amazing views down the lawn and onto the lake. The perennial gardens abound with flower blooms and fragrance, and the seating area around the brick built fire pit is perfect for getting together in an evening for a campfire under the stars.

The wraparound waterfront gives several access points to the water. To one side there is a shallow entry with hard sand underfoot, and there is a deeper access point off the dock. There are a lot of rocks in the water, so diving and jumping happens off the floating swim rafts and play area offshore. Because of the rocks, boats cannot be tied up to the dock but can be anchored a little way out. The small bay area in front of the smaller cottage is prone to some weed.

At less than 2 hours from the city, and close to local towns, golf courses, hiking trails and cross country ski areas, we think this will be a popular cottage year round. Book now so you don't miss your chance.

From the May long weekend through October 20th Kingswood is rented as a complete vacation package with both cottages included, and can accommodate up to a maximum of 16 (10 adults). At other times of the year, the main cottage is rented on its' own, with a reduced occupancy limit of 10 (6 adults).
