There's always something about a view - something that will define a cottage and the experience of staying there. We think this cottage exemplifies this trait. Looking down the bay on pristine Whitestone Lake, on which the cottage is located, reveals an amazing panorama of water and forest. Sunrises are spectacular here - a perfect way to get in the mood for a day at the cottage!
This 2000 square foot, four-season, pet-friendly 3+1-bedroom cottage sits on a beautiful treed 2-acre property with lots of natural vegetation providing privacy and shade with 400 feet of waterfront. The location on the lake, in addition to providing views, makes for very calm water great for swimming with a walk-in shallow beach area. Whitestone Lake also offers fabulous boating and fishing opportunities, with islands and bays that will delight both paddlers and motorboat enthusiasts. Be sure to bring your boat or water crafts, or rent from the Dunchurch Marina, located just minutes from the cottage!
Let's go inside and have a look around. You'll find the cottage impeccably decorated, so the views inside will warm you as much as those outdoors do. Up to 8 guests (maximum 6 adults) will be very comfortable here. If you're the lead guest, you'll want to lay claim to the loft bedroom, complete with a 4-piece en suite. Just outside this room is a day bed sleeping another individual. The main level has a bedroom with 2 single beds, and on the lower level there is a queen bed as well as a double futon.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the appliances and standard tools you'll need to prepare and store your meals including small appliances such as coffee maker (both drip AND Keurig - because we understand coffee is important!), electric kettle, and toaster.
Although you are out of site you won't be out of touch - WIFI and satellite TV on 2 Smart TV's keep you informed of what is happening at home, work or the world. There is also a variety of DVD's with DVD player, boardgames, card games, puzzles, and a bookshelf filled with a wide-range of books for you to enjoy while you stay!
Exterior spaces include a fire pit area, a gentle slope to the water's edge and a covered wraparound deck with ample seating to take in the incredible water views.
Usually, guests want to explore the local area, and you'll find things to delight a short distance away. Historic and scenic Parry Sound is less than half an hour away, offering dining, entertainment and shopping. although smaller, Dunchurch is less than 10 minutes away and offers a convenience store, gas station and restaurant and an LCBO. Magnetawan is just 20 minutes away and has a nice public park and beach as well as food stands and stores.

The waterfront is great for swimming, with a walk in shallow beach area with very calm water.Close-By Attractions
- Deadman's Drop. For adventurous types, check out Deadman's Drop, 15 minutes from the cottage, near Dunchurch. Take the plunge off the rocks into deep water (if you dare).
- Tower Hill Heritage Garden. Half an hour from the cottage, Tower Hill Heritage Garden is nestled amongst the trees atop the hill overlooking Parry Sound on Georgian Bay. The garden features a network of original flagstone paths connecting rock gardens, goldfish pond and raised pedestal sundial, all enhanced by flowering shrubs and perennials.
- Golf. Several golf courses, including the Parry Sound Golf and Country Club, Granite Valley Golf Club, and The Ridge Golf Club, are all within 35 minutes of the cottage!
- Screaming Heads. Unique site featuring a castle and the depiction of the apocalypse using screaming heads and scared hands, howling wolves, 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and much more! The sculptures are spread over 300 acres of property, with free admission by donation.
- Winter Activities. Located within 10 minutes of the OFSC snowmobiling trail system. Whether you're interested in snowmobiling, ice fishing or ice skating, this is a great destination in the winter too!
