Not many properties have both an indoor sauna and an outdoor hot tub, two of the most commonly requested features for a cottage rental, but this one does! This beautiful country property, Sheldon's Creek Retreat, is the perfect 4 season getaway, conveniently located just 45 minutes north of Toronto and very close to Hockley Valley Golf, Spa and Ski Resort (10 minutes) which is a perfect day trip. While the property is shared with the owners , guests have a separate entry to their private suite and guests will have full, and private, access to all amenities and backyard during their stay. In the winter, enjoy the slopes by day, and return to this comfortable, luxurious accommodation at night. For apres ski, enjoy relaxing and warming up in the sauna or the hot tub, or cozy up in front of the wood stove and watch a movie!
For cross country skiers, you're just 20 minutes from the Mono Nordic Ski Club. During the rest of the year, it's a hiker's paradise, with many trails nearby including the Bruce Trail, Mono Cliffs Hiking Trail, Splitrock Narrows Nature Reserve, and many more, all within 15 minutes. It's also ideal as a golfing getaway. Nearby courses include Hockley Valley (10 minutes) and Mono Hills Country Club (5 minutes). At any time of year, enjoy a pampering weekend at one of the local spas - Rejuvenate Day Spa (20 minutes), Jade Holistic Spa (20 minutes) and the Hockley spa (10 minutes). The Tottenham Blues Festival takes place in late June each year, and the cottage is 25 minutes from that location, making it the perfect place to stay while attending the festival.
There are two generously sized bedrooms (one with a queen-sized bed and the second with a double bed), and a four-piece bathroom. Enjoy great added features such as an indoor sauna, an outdoor hot tub, central air conditioning, and a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and includes a dining room table.
Outside, you'll enjoy the peace and serenity of the private Creekside location. Your inner nature lover will love spending hours by the creek catching frogs and chasing dragonflies, although it's not deep enough to be suitable for swimming. The large grass yard is perfect for playing games and includes a fire pit.
Downton Alliston is within 20 minutes, offering a number of shops and restaurants to enjoy. Popular events like the Tottenham Blues Festival, proximity to the Bruce Trail, the Trans-Canada Trail, and the large number of parks, ski resorts, and golf courses, make this a great destination, and an easy drive from Toronto for a short getaway or a weeklong trip.
