Perched quite literally on the edge of the shoreline of Lake Erie, this cottage rental is unbeatable for water views and is located near many great beaches and other attractions! Rock this Wave is ideal for those looking to get out of the city and enjoy some peace and relaxation while also being ideal for nature lovers given nearby attractions. It's within the borders of the Big Creek National Wildlife Area, which has a gorgeous 2km trail through the marshes. This wildlife area is home to birds, frogs, turtles, amphibians, and many other species which rely on the wetland for their main habitat. Not to miss at Big Creek is the look-out tower, from which you can view the entire Wildlife Area! Long Point Provincial Park and National Wildlife Area is just 10 minutes down the road, with over a 1.5 km sandy beach, and excellent fishing and boating.
Rock This Wave cottage is steps from a small public beach, providing guests with easy entry for swimming and lounging around the water on those summer days. It is just outside Port Rowan, convenient for shops and restaurants (10 minutes), minutes from parks and wildlife refuges, close to golfing and wineries, and a short drive from most areas, making this an easy getaway in all seasons. Soak up the great views of Lake Erie while sitting on the deck or in the living room around the wood-burning stove.
The furniture in the living room is perfectly positioned to showcase the main reason you're here - the view! Along with the comfortable seating, there is a woodstove and a TV, making it perfect for fall and winter stays. There are 3 cozy bedrooms, two with double beds and the third with a set of double/single bunks. There are 2 bathrooms (1 3-piece with an accessible shower, and a second 2 piece. The kitchen is fully equipped with the essentials you'll need.
On the exterior, there is a large deck overlooking the lake, facing south for both beautiful sunrise and sunset views. In front of the cottage there is a fire pit with ample seating to enjoy the summer nights and great conversations. Just a few steps away from the cottage guests can enjoy a public beach.

Waterfront
The cottage is perched on rocks at the water's edge, which make the waterfront in front of the cottage unsuitable for swimming. There is a public beach just steps away, with shallow access and a sand beach. There are also many great public beaches around the area, including Long Point Provincial Park which has over 1km of sandy beaches. Given these are public beaches we can not guarantee the quality.Close-By Attractions
- Big Creek National Wildlife Area. The cottage is located within this large area, and features a 2 km trail through the marshes, and is home to birds, frogs, turtles, amphibians, insects and many other species which rely on the wetland for their main habitat.
- Long Point Provincial Park. Just 10 minutes from the cottage, Long Point Provincial Park and Wildlife Refuge is located within a World Biosphere Reserve. This Park offers a long strip of sandy beach, and great fishing and boating.
- Golfing. Stark's Golf Course is just 10 minutes from the cottage, and within a short drive you'll find Pine Valley Golf Club (25 minutes) and The Links at Dover Coast (45 minutes) are also nearby.
- Wineries. This is wine country, and you'll find several choices if you wish to visit one - Hounds of Erie Winery & Cidery, Inasphere Winery & Farm Market, and Blueberry Hill Estates, are all within 30 minutes of the cottage!
- Long Point Island Hugger Tours. This is an eco based, on-water excursion business operating within the inner and outer bays of Long Point Ontario.
