Tucked away on the sandy shores of Lucerne Lake in Bancroft, Ontario, Lucerne Shores is the kind of cottage that blends old charm with modern comfort. A traditional getaway that’s been beautifully renovated, it offers guests the best of both worlds — the cozy feeling of a classic lakeside retreat paired with the luxuries of today’s living.
As you pull into the property, the first thing you’ll notice is the soft, sandy lot — a welcoming sign of the family-friendly yard that surrounds the cottage. Children will love playing in the sand, while adults can relax under the trees or sip their morning coffee with the lake shimmering just beyond. Though direct water access is not yet available (expected beyond summer 2026), the lake’s peaceful presence is ever near, adding serenity and charm to your stay.
Inside, Lucerne Shores has been thoughtfully reimagined. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms provide plenty of space for families or couples traveling together, while two cozy living rooms ensure everyone can unwind their own way — whether it’s movie night or curling up with a book by the window. The brand-new kitchen and kitchenette make meal prep a breeze, offering all the conveniences of home in a stylish, modern setting.
Just five minutes from the heart of Bancroft, you’ll have easy access to local shops, restaurants, and outdoor adventures. Whether you’re visiting for a peaceful fall weekend, a snowy winter escape, or a sunny summer stay, Lucerne Shores invites you to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple beauty of cottage life.

- Post departure cleaning is arranged immediately following your check out time. Please ensure the short pre-departure cleaning checklist is completed and you have fully checked out of the cottage by your departure time to avoid any additional cleaning fees.

Accessibility
- Relatively easy entry and exit from parking area (few if any stairs, railing(s) where needed), Several stairs, but there's a railing to hold onto
- Property would be difficult/impossible to navigate and would not recommend for anyone with mobility challenges
Waterfront
The waterfront cannot currently be accessed from the cottage property; however there are waterfront views to enjoy. For water access, there is a beach on L’Amable Road, just 5 minutes from the cottage.Sun Exposure
The cottage has northern exposure, with lots of shade, and sun during the middle part of the day - there is no direct view of sunrises or sunsets.Boating

- The Village Playhouse - Bancroft. Excellent small venue offering live theatre and shows in downtown Bancroft.
- Multi-Use Trail.A few minutes walk from the cottage leads to a neighbourhood multi-use trail, which can be used for hiking, biking, and ATVs, and for snowshoeing in the winter.
- Eagles Nest Lookout. Climb atop the Eagle's Nest Bancroft for a breath-taking view of the York River Valley. Located above downtown Bancroft, off Hastings Street North, it's not something you'll want to miss.
- Park Beach, L'Amable Lake. L’Amable Lake is approximately 178 hectares in size and has a maximum depth of about 23 meters. Fish species include Lake Trout and Small Mouth Bass. It is a deep lake with a limestone base giving it great water quality. There is a public beach and boat launch located off Old L’Amable Road. (5 mins)
- The Bancroft Mineral Museum.Located within a riverside park in Bancroft (10 minutes), this museum, housed in the fully-restored heritage train station is owned and operated by the Bancroft Gem and Mineral Club. Stop by and discover the history of the mining in the area, learn about mineral collecting, or explore over 400 local specimens, all on display in the 1200 square-foot showroom. The park also offers a playground and skatepark, and there's a nice trail along the river, leading to Millennium Park and beyond.
- Egan Chutes Provincial Nature Reserve. A bend of the York River has become a wetland with an adjacent sand flat, where poplar, white birch, ash, buffaloberry, and purple flowering raspberry grow. Minerals found here include nepheline, sodalite, biotite, zircon, and blue corundum..
- Winter Activities.This Bancroft rental cottage is ideal for winter rentals too, with easy snowmobile access to Route 930, just minutes from the cottage. There’s plenty of parking to accommodate vehicles and their snowmobile trailers. For cross country skiing and snowshoeing, Vance Farm Park is just 10 minutes away, and ice fishing is also an option for anglers, ice conditions permitting.
