Nestled on the shores of Kabakwa Lake in the heart of Haliburton, Kabakwa Serenity Lodge offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. This cozy, traditional log cabin is a serene escape, offering complete privacy surrounded by crown land. With no neighbors within 200 feet and the only activity on the lake coming from a summer camp quite a ways around the bend, you'll experience peaceful seclusion and the sounds of nature, not traffic.
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by an inviting outdoor gathering area complete with a patio table for six, an umbrella for shade, and a comfortable outdoor couch, all overlooking the lake. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of Kabawka Lake. A convenient BBQ is located just outside the cottage door, making it easy to cook up a meal and enjoy alfresco dining while soaking in the scenery.
Inside the cottage, the spacious great room features vaulted ceilings and a welcoming, open-concept design. The living area is anchored by a propane fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings, while the dining area and fully equipped kitchen provide all the comforts of home. A charming reading nook adds to the cottage's warm, inviting atmosphere. The front-facing patio stretches the entire width of the cottage and offers a perfect spot for your morning coffee, with tranquil lake views to start your day.
The cottage offers three well-appointed Queen bedrooms, including the primary bedroom at the end of the hall, which features sliding doors leading directly to the lake-facing patio—ideal for quiet mornings or late-night stargazing. The recently renovated 3-piece bathroom is sleek and modern, ensuring comfort and convenience during your stay.
Just steps from the main deck, a private staircase leads down to the waterfront, where the Canadian Shield shapes the shoreline. Whether you prefer to jump off the dock into 9 feet of clear water or enjoy a sandy, shallow entry from the rocks, you'll have plenty of options for lake access. The custom deck includes a brand-new gazebo, complete with optional bug netting, offering an outdoor haven for relaxation. The dock stretches out into the lake, making it easy to jump in and enjoy a refreshing swim, kayak, or canoe adventure.
