Inside, the cottage exudes warmth and comfort. The living area, anchored by a woodstove, is ideal for snuggling up with a good book or sharing stories with loved ones as the fire crackles. Entertainment is at your fingertips with two TVs equipped with Firesticks and DVD players, plus unlimited high-speed internet courtesy of Starlink. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, washer, dryer, and a handy mini fridge, ensures that every meal and snack is a breeze to prepare. After a day of outdoor fun, unwind with a hearty meal at the dining table or head outside to fire up the BBQ and dine al fresco under the stars.
Step outside, and the cottage’s natural beauty truly shines. The waterfront is perfect for all ages, with a hard-packed sand bottom for wading and swimming and deeper waters for diving off the dock. Boating enthusiasts will appreciate the dock, accommodating boats up to 18 feet long, with a convenient launch just minutes away. For those seeking quieter adventures, a kayak and two stand-up paddleboards are provided for exploring the lake at your own pace. When evening falls, gather around the fire pit for s’mores and stargazing, with a limited supply of firewood ready for your use.
Nearby attractions add even more to the experience, from the rugged beauty of Bon Echo Provincial Park to the thrill of downhill skiing at Calabogie, just 35 minutes away. Please note, however, that the natural terrain may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges.
In the winter months, this cottage transforms into a snowy wonderland. Bring a 4-wheel-drive vehicle for safe access, and enjoy activities like ice fishing (lake conditions permitting) or exploring the area on snowshoes—two pairs are thoughtfully included.

Waterfront
The cottage waterfront frontage is 30’, and it’s located across the road from the cottage. There is shallow entry with a hard packed sand lake bottom. Depth off the dock is 5-6 feet deep, dropping off quickly into deeper water from there. The lake is clear for swimming. There is no beach. Sun exposure is east, with sun from sunrise until early to mid afternoon.Boating
The dock is in place from the May long weekend to Thanksgiving, water levels permitting. It can accommodate guest boats up to 18’ long, with a water depth of 4’. There is a public boat launch 1 km. from the cottage. The nearest dry dock marina is 25 minutes away.Close-By Attractions
- Bon Echo Provincial Park. Beautiful park featuring a 100 metre high Mazinaw Rock featuring over 260 Indigenous pictographs. Great hiking trails from 1 km in length to 17 km in length are available for use from mid May to mid October. (35 mins)
- Golfing. Calabogie has two golf courses you can choose from - Ironwoods Golf Course and Calabogie Highlands Golf Course, both about 30 minutes from the cottage.
- Centennial Lake Provincial Nature Reserve Park. Nature reserve offering hiking trails. This area is protected for its unusual geological features and many rare plant species, with several lakes and creeks, steep hills, ridges of bare rock and stands of mixed forest. (30 mins)
- Eagle’s Nest Hiking Trail. This 2.7-km loop moderately challenging trail leads to a lookout, and takes an average of 49 min to complete. (30 mins)
- Winter Activities. Ice fishing is available (when ice conditions permit), and the cottage is just 35 minutes from Calabogie for downhill skiing, 25 minutes away from cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails, and for snowmobiling, Trail E102 runs right by on Centennial Lake.
