Beaver Bay Cottage on Cordova Lake is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Nestled in a quiet bay at the end of the point, you’ll notice only a few other cottages along the shoreline and plenty of wildlife!
During our spring visit, we spotted seven beavers that live in the bay, along the shore to the right of the boathouse. The area is also home to the prettiest painted turtles, blue jays, cardinals, finch, geese and ducks. Nature lovers will be in their glory, not forgetting of course the resident wild turkeys and local deer.
The cottage is at the top of a hill, allowing for the best views of the bay and has a gradual path down to the water, just to the left of the back lawn, past the firepit seating. Once there, you’ll notice the boathouse, which houses 3 kayaks, along with a Ping Pong table to challenge your friends with. You can even turn it into a single-player setup for yourself.
Once inside this cozy cottage, you’ll notice the gorgeous stone fireplace for warming up on cooler evenings. The open-plan kitchen, living and dining areas offers plenty of space for meals and games, with options for outdoor dining and relaxing in the screened sunroom.
Along with two good-sized bedrooms and a family bathroom, the cottage is ideally suited for young families or as a couple's retreat.
For entertainment, there’s a fantastic collection of board games just waiting for you and your guests to enjoy.
The cottage also features a cooling system, as well as washer and dryer, and an additional 2-piece washroom in the unfinished lower level.
The North Kawartha region is an attractive area of forested by-ways, lakes and small towns and villages. The riverside town of Marmora has everything you need to provision for your stay along with restaurants, takeaways and shopping.
