Big Gull Lake has something special not found in many cottage areas...very few cottages! 19 kilometres long and over 80% Crown Land, the area is sparsely populated with properties. This means fewer boats, more tranquility and an abundance of birds and wildlife making it one of the most sought-after lakes in the Land O’ Lakes region.
Almost Heaven is a beautifully updated Viceroy style waterfront cottage rental overlooking a large expanse of lake with nothing but Crown Land on the far side. The extensive & clean shoreline includes two docks with easy access to the water, along with a viewpoint with a firepit and lawned area for ball games..
Steps lead from the water's edge into around 2ft of clear water with sand and some rocks underfoot (Water shoes are recommended). Swimmers will love the deeper water off of the farthest end of the dock.
Inside the newly-renovated cottage, the bright and airy décor is welcoming and offers a large open concept kitchen with quartz counter tops & a breakfast bar, along with a dining and living space in the great room overlooking the deck and lake. All on one level, three large bedrooms have ample accommodation for
multi-generational families. The master has an ensuite bathroom while the second full bathroom serves the other two bedrooms.
Doors from the living area and master bedroom open onto the enormous deck with plenty of seating and dining options, and in the heat of summer, the powered awning offers shade. The North-Western view from the deck allows for enjoying the picturesque sunsets evening after evening.
The Frontenac & Land O’ Lakes area is quiet, tranquil and suits those looking for a real getaway-from-it-all vacation with just the awesome views, great fishing, bird watching and swimming to keep you occupied. When you need to stock up, nearby Northbrook (25 minutes) has a grocery store and LCBO and there's
restaurants in Sharbot Lake (30 minutes)..
We think this is the perfect spot for the best vacation ever and look forward to welcoming you to Almost Heaven on Big Gull.
