This lakehouse has it all!

This past summer, three friends and I spent a fantastic week at the Ross Lakehouse. With 2 bedrooms downstairs, and a spacious loft upstairs, we could all choose our own place to sleep, each with a comfortable bed (or beds). The large, well-equipped kitchen was perfect for the friend who is a keen cook. There is nothing more enjoyable than watching someone else do the cooking while you are leaning over the counter with a glass of wine. The cozy living room with large TV, and comfy couches and throws, was certainly a draw when the weather got a bit cold and rainy, but when the sun was out…..ah, coffee on the veranda overlooking the lake in the morning sunshine. Perfection! But there were plenty of other outdoor delights – kayaking, paddle boarding, floating in the water on inflatables (all provided by the owners), cycling along scenic cottage roads, or just relaxing in Muskoka chairs on the dock, watching the marine traffic go by. This lakehouse has everything you would want in your own house, and more. The owners care about their guests’ comfort, from the squeaky clean bathrooms and kitchen, having plenty of life jackets available, and maps and guides to the surrounding vacation spots, to name only a few of the hospitable touches so evident in this cottage. I have grandkids that I want to bring to the Ross Lakehouse next summer, and the big draw, besides all the toys, is the fenced yard which will keep the littlest ones safely away from the water (pets also).
