Peaceful

Mapleview is the place to relax and unwind. Located on a very quiet lake, it has a large sandy beach which is great for little ones, or just pull up a chair and watch the water which has a very calming effect. The cottage is beautiful and well maintained. Super comfortable, spotless and the kitchen is well appointed, except I could not find a bread knife. Cooking on a gas range was different for me. Spending time on the large deck with lots of seating was relaxing. The lake water is clear and a great place to paddle with lots of watercraft offered. The SUP’s did not have fins so it was quite a work out. We had some fun shooting the Little Marble Lake rapids! Close by for groceries is Northbrook, 15-20 mins. , which has a Foodland, LCBO, beer store and pharmacy. The general store in Cloyne seems to be permanently closed. Bon Echo PP is definitely worth the visit as a pass is provided by the owners. A beautiful piece of Canadian shield, towering forests and indigenous history. We spent a very hot week at Mapleview in July and our week in August was perfect. The ceiling fans are most welcome. Mapleview is in a pristine location and a lot of care by the owners has made this a very desirable vacation rental home. The sun room was our go to place if not outside. CLRM was also helpful when needed. Thank you all.
