Idyllic stay at ‘A Wave from It All’

We had the pleasure of staying at the absolutely charming ‘A Wave from It All’ cottage on the shores of Lake Huron in Kincardine, and it was a truly delightful experience. Nestled amidst the serene and picturesque landscape, this cozy retreat offered the perfect escape. Location and Scenery: The location of the cottage is nothing short of spectacular. Situated steps from the lake, we were greeted every morning with breathtaking views of Lake Huron’s ever-changing waters. The sunsets, in particular, were a daily highlight, painting the sky with hues of orange, pink, and purple and we even saw “the green flash” twice during our stay! The surrounding area is lush with greenery, providing a tranquil and refreshing atmosphere that instantly put us at ease. Accommodation: The cottage itself was well-maintained and tastefully decorated, blending modern comforts with rustic charm. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living spaces, and comfortable bedrooms. We especially loved the game room downstairs and the large yard for outdoor fun. The large windows allowed plenty of natural light to flood in, and the lake views from the living room and deck are simply enchanting. Activities and Attractions: One of the best aspects of our stay was the range of activities available. We spent our days playing, swimming, and walking on the beach, and also exploring the charming town of Kincardine. The town itself is rich in history and culture, with plenty of local shops, cafes, and restaurants to enjoy. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Kincardine Lighthouse and watching the famous Saturday night Kincardine Pipe Band Parade, as well as enjoying the Saturday and Monday Markets at the Park. Hospitality: The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a lovely stay. They provided us with detailed information about the cottage and the local area, and their recommendations for dining and activities were spot on. It was clear that they took great pride in their property and genuinely cared about their guests’ experience. Overall Experience: Our stay at the Lake Huron cottage in Kincardine was truly unforgettable. The combination of stunning natural beauty, comfortable and charming accommodation, and warm hospitality made for a perfect getaway. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled vacation, this cottage is an excellent choice. We left feeling rejuvenated and with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
