About This Cottage

One of the great benefits of being ‘off the water’ is the privacy that is rarely offered by lakefront cottages. Imagine being just a 2-minute drive from a great beach and having your own acreage with walking trails, a swimming pool (seasonal), amazing outdoor play area, and an outstanding cottage…and not another property in sight.

Forest Lodge is a short drive from the cute lakeside village of Bobcaygeon, and minutes from the shores of Pigeon Lake. That means only 10 minutes from the motherlode of Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream (the factory is in town and you can get every variety of ice cream they make!!)

Surrounded by woodland with walking trails, an enclosed lawned area, gated pool (seasonal) and patio, horseshoe pits and big campfire pit, there’s a chance you won’t spend much time inside! When you do, the spacious and comfortable interior is a delight as well.

The layout is ideal for two families with two large bedrooms and a bathroom on each level. The main floor has an open plan living and dining area and an exceptional kitchen, with doors opening onto a deck overlooking the garden and pool (seasonal).

On the lower level a family room opens into a extensive screened sunroom and seating area with a hot tub to one end.

The community beach is a short drive, or even a walk, away and brings you to a small waterside park where the kids can enjoy playing in the shallow water, and Mom and Dad can relax on a bench and just take in the view. Then, head back to the Lodge for a BBQ, hot tub and a campfire under the stars.

If you feel like taking to the water, head to Buckeye Marine and rent a boat for the day. Or just while away a few hours in a tearoom or craft store. There is something for everyone in this location.

Please note that the garage seen in the photos is not part of rentals and not accessible to rental guests. The garage does house an office that the owner may occupy Mon-Thur during the summer. While working from his office in the cottage garage, the owner will not disturb rental guests in any way.
