About This Cottage
For generations, Honey Harbour has been associated with images of blue water, classic Georgian Bay cottages, and the sight of boats heading out of the marinas to their destinations or to explore the bay for fishing or water sports. The many marinas of the area bustle with summer activity and are a delight to experience. Paragon is no different in this regard, and just beyond its reach is where you will find the Bungalows.
Sitting on an island all on its own, the two cottages making up the bungalows offer two different worlds depending on which way you wish to look. Facing the marina, you can see the huge variety of watercraft – from small fishing jetties to large cruisers. Turning 180 degrees, however, gives you an open view of blue water and the green trees of the islands beyond. Which will be your favorite?
For 2019, the Bungalows is pleased to offer the 3 bedroom cottage at a price to suit single families. The bedrooms sleep 6 comfortably, with a queen bed in each of two bedrooms and 2 twin beds in the third. The living dining area is spacious and bright – a TV and DVD player are provided for evening entertainment. The dining area will sit your group in comfort and the kitchen has all you need to extinguish those cottage appetites. (Please note that the wood stove appearing in some of the photos is NOT operational).
This cottage will have definite appeal to those who love boating. If you bring your own craft, you’ll find getting here is a snap, and the waters of Georgian Bay will beckon you upon your arrival. If you don’t have a boat, a water taxi service is available from the marina, and you are close enough to the mainland that trips back and forth in the canoe are easily possible.
Is your group a little larger? You might be interested in adding another 2 bedroom cottage to your accommodation (cost - additional $1000/week – please inquire). Located across the island from the main cottage, this cute unit shares the common yard featuring a gazebo, fire pit and plenty of space to play.
With the mainland so accessible during your stay, you may enjoy some exploring of a non-nautical nature. A short drive from the marina will take you to Port Severn, and a little further on you will find the towns of Coldwater and Waubaushene. You might want to take a day to explore historic Midland or just do a little shopping.
