They are building some wonderful cottages and homes in cottage country these days - and we were thrilled to be offered the chance to offer this property to our guests. This recently constructed cottage takes full advantage of its location at the end of a beautiful bay on Ril Lake. With views that just don't quit from almost every room in the cottage, you'll enjoy classic cottage country scenery for your entire stay.
The main floor is dominated by the picture windows in the living room that look straight down the bay. The living room also has flat screen satellite TV and a fireplace. The level is open concept, with the kitchen and dining table (hand crafted by the owner) adjoining the living room. Two bedrooms and a 4-piece bath round out this level. A trip to the lower level will find a family room will reveal the family room, complete with yet another view of the bay, another fireplace and TV, and a pool table as well. Another 2 bedrooms and a 4-piece bath complete the tour. This balance of the two levels makes Bayview on Ril an excellent choice for an extended or larger family who need to separate for some different pursuits now and then.
Outside, you will enjoy everything Ril Lake has to offer. There is a dock. The water has a shallow sandy/soft bottom entry, but deepens fairly quickly and is 5-6 feet off the end of the dock. The paddleboats are great for exploring the lake or casting a line in the water on a lazy afternoon.
The cottage road runs between the cottage and the lake. While it is not a busy road, you will see the occasional car pass through.
If you decide you want to take your own car out for a bit, you'll find a number of quaint cottage towns an easy distance away. Baysville offers a bakery to tempt you, and Dorset is a great little spot for supplies and ice cream. Take a side trip to the Dorset lookout tower for yet another great view. If you need a little more of an urban setting, Huntsville offers much in terms of arts, entertainment and shopping.
Bayview on Ril is bound to be a popular spot - it offers wonderful value in an upscale cottage. We hope it's right for you!

Things you need to know:
- Bed, bath and kitchen linens are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
- Cottage is eastern exposure
- Pets are not permitted at this property
- Post departure cleaning included with rental. Cottage is to be left in tidy condition
- Garbage and recycling removal prior to departure is required
- South Ril Lake Road runs between the cottage and the lake. It is generally lightly travelled, used only by local cottagers. You will notice more cars on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons when cottagers arrive/leave for the weekend.

- Santa's Village. It's always Christmas in Bracebridge! Kids will be delighted by this park, full of rides and attractions, and be able to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus too. 60 acres of family fun. (40 mins)
- High Falls Bay Waterpark. High Falls Waterpark is a unique eco-conscious beachfront waterpark in the heart of Muskoka. 1500 ft of sandy beaches on a beautiful private lake and looking directly at three sets of waterfalls, including the magnificent High Falls waterfalls. You can relax on the beach to the sound of the falls, take a boat ride, or enjoy some of the many amenities and services. (25 mins)
- Golfing. Bigwin Island Golf Club is just 15 minutes from the cottage. In the surrounding area, Grandview Golf Club, Huntsville Downs Golf Course, Deerhurst Lakeside Golf Course, North Granite Ridge Golf Course, South Muskoka Curling & Golf Club, Muskoka Highland Golf Links, Taboo Muskoka Golf Course, The Fairways at Kirrie Glen are all within 35 mins. of the cottage.
- Dad's of Muskoka Disk Golf. Short, wooded and tight with multiple elevation changes and course features (boardwalks, stairs, bridges, raised tees) through rustic forest. (25 mins)
- Muskoka Drive In. Enjoy an outdoor movie at one of the few remaining drive in's in Ontario! (35 mins)
