We had the best time at Min and Ralph’s place. It’s a beautiful property, great view of the Burnt River and nicely done interiors and all essentials available to use. The best thing about the stay for us was meeting two beautiful souls. Min and Ralph are such amazing people right from helping us settle in, all the great suggestions on things to do and places to visit to the boat ride and soup – they made sure that the trip was memorable for us. would definitely love to go back!

My husband and I stayed for the weekend. Min and Ralph were very friendly, generous and helpful. We especially loved kayaking on the beautiful, peaceful river and seeing the start of the fall colours. The guest accommodation is very thoughtfully stocked and extremely comfortable.

Greatly enjoyed the beautiful waterfront scenery and quiet, natural surroundings. Accommodations were lovely and exceeded our expectations. Price was quite reasonable and hosts Min and Ralph were very friendly. Hope to return during our next visit to Ontario!

We’ve been using AirBnB for years and have never had as fantastic of an experience as our weekend stay at Min and Ralph’s place. Their cottage is absolutely stunning – we spent hours reading on the lakefront chairs, and they have canoe, kayaks, and pedal boats to take out on the water for even more gorgeous views. They have a fire pit as well as a table for outdoor dining. The interior was very clean and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen, TV, and games. What really made the trip for us was how welcoming and approachable Min and Ralph were. We had a late arrival our first night and they were very flexible with our checkout time the last day without us even having to ask. They live on the property and respect your privacy but also helped us with the fire pit, took us out on a boat ride, took photos of us on the water, and more. We were so appreciative of their kindness and had one of our most relaxing weekends ever – we will definitely be back!

Min und Captain-Ralph sind bei weitem die besten Gastgeber, die wir jemals hatten. Wir waren an vielen Orten in Europa, Nordamerika und Südamerika aber so freundliche und hilfbereite Gastgeber hatten wir noch nie. Dabei waren sie nie aufdringlich aber immer für uns da. Wir durften vom Kanu übers Tretboot bis zur Angel alles benutzen wann immer wir wollten und wurden sogar mit auf Bootstour genommen. Hier wurden Gastgeber zu Freunden! Wir hatten tatsächlich Tränen in den Augen als wir den Ort verließen und würden jeder Zeit wieder dort buchen. Min und Ralph sind einfach tolle Leute.

Ralph and Min are great hosts, but even better people. Super friendly, easy going, accommodating and easy to talk to. They made sure we could find everything and that we comfortable. Great local knowledge, beautiful property. Can’t say enough great thing about our experience. My wife and I had an amazing time relaxing and adventuring during our stay. I would recommend this listing to anyone looking to relax, adventure or both. I reached out to the property owners for an earlier check in and they were super accepting of it. Amazing experience overall and we will be returning.

We stayed at this lovely cottage early July 2023, it is very clean and has everything you would need and is as represented online. The Hosts made us very welcome and were always happy to help with any questions or information re local restaurants etc. Cottage Link was a very good company to deal with

This place is beyond what we could ask for. The hosts living upstairs are really nice, chill very responsive. They are also flexible with check in and check out time and make us feel like home. The house is very cozy, with lots of games, well-equipped kitchen, and space enough for 4 people. The view of the lake and everything is perfect, and we did use their kayak and paddle board to enjoy the lake view. We did a girl trip and absolutely had the great time here and we hope to come back anytime soon!!

If you’re looking for a serene getaway with your partner, you’ve found just the place! We stayed here for the long weekend and had a wonderful time at this cottage on the Burnt River. Kayaks and paddleboat are available for you to explore the river. Min and Ralph, the owners who stay upstairs, are wonderful people who made us feel at home, in their clean, newly renovated and comfortable space. They shared some great suggestions for local spots and were very accomodating. Be sure to say hello to their adorable cats when you’re there! (And if you end up in nearby Haliburton, check out Castle Antiques & Cafe)

My husband and I were thrilled to call this spectacular cottage getaway “home” while we explored nearby Kinmount and Haliburton. The property is absolutely stunning with the calm mirror-like Burnt River running along the backyard. The stay came with complimentary use of every water toy you can imagine and our gracious hosts Ralph and Min were happy and eager to help us get launched in every one of our choosing! In fact, I doubt we could find more congenial hosts if we searched high and low. Ralph and Min gave us the most hospitable welcome we have ever had and made us feel right at home from the get go and that feeling never ceased. Our hosts were great conversationalists who offered a wealth of local knowledge regarding places of interest to see or do or places to eat (although the kitchen in our lodgings came with everything you need to cook for yourself plus a BBQ in the backyard!) Our hosts went the extra mile when decorating the newly renovated lodgings – it came with two TVs, an indoor shuffleboard table, multiple fireplaces and the fridge even came stocked with condiments and ice and the cupboards with spices and an abundance of cooking utensils and dishware. The premises were spotless and we were given full private use of their immaculate grounds including dock and sitting area. Honestly, I do not think we could have dreamt of a place that could live up to this – a truly hidden gem that deserves to be explored again and again. P.S. – check out the Highland Cinemas in Kinmount, it’s one of a kind!

This is an absolute best place for your retreat, particularly for a couple or a small family. It is very clean and has all amenities of your needs and they are quite NEW! It gives you the ample spaces inside and outside and let you enjoy the sunshine, and the morning mist, the beautiful, calm river which let you recall the movie: “A River Runs Through It”. Our Hosts are absolute fabulous, gracious, very generous, and are also helpful in exploring the nearby. They made us have fun and enjoyable. Nearby towns and places like Haliburton, Minden, Ritchie Falls, “118 Lookout” (Skyline Park) near Haliburton are encouraged to explore. I was told that the autumn season is the prefect time to see the color changes along the river and from the rolling landscape in the area. Looking forward to the next visit.

We booked this cottage for our first anniversary, and this cottage was better than we expected. It maybe one of the best cottages we ever stayed at, extremely clean, organized and gorgeous. The view was second to none and the burnt river was calm and quiet, perfect for pedal boat or kayaking, or just sitting around admiring nature. However, the cottage itself was nothing compared to the hosts, Ralph and Min were absolutely a treat! It felt like we were literally at our own house, the hospitality was amazing, they treated us like family, guided us to all the spots, even gave us a gift as soon as they found out that it was anniversary. Pictures do not justify the place, the night sky was one of the best I’ve seen in a while, and the host were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place and better company for our anniversary. Definitely will be going back.

This location is a hidden gem! The river is absolutely beautiful for swimming, canoeing and exploring. The river has its own character from early morning (magically misty) to late evening (calm and glass-like). Central to so many places to visit like Haliburton (check out Sculpture Forest!), Minden, Bobcaygeon, Ritchie Falls and more. A great place to use as a home base for touring the area or simply laying low and enjoying the peaceful/private atmosphere along with the local wildlife. Space was clean and comfortable. Our hosts were so gracious and helpful with tips about what and where to visit. Thank you Min and Ralph! Hope to be back soon.
